About This Item
Pete Jolly's second album released on Fred Astair's Ava Records is in many ways a continuation of the ideas that he presented on InchLittle BirdInch. Both albums were recorded in 1963 and showcase the new trio and it's' updated sound. For this , Chuck Berghofer on bass and Larry Bunker on drums are the core members, with the addition of HowardRoberts on guitar and Nick Martinis replacing Bunker on the first two tracks. Like it's' sister recording, InchLittle BirdInch, this is a new sound from Pete Jolly, more lyrical and orchestral than his playing onprevious releases for RCA, but with the virtuosity that has always been the hallmark of Pete's playing. Album Tracks 1. Sweet September 2. Kiss Me Baby 3. Yours Is My Heart Alone 4. I Have Dreamed 5. No Other Love 6. Any Number Can Win 7. Soft Winds 8. Oleo 9. Can't We Be Friends 10.
