"...you come to US!" The Tall Man, played by the late, great Angus Scrimm, has all the best lines in Don Coscarelli's 1979 supernatural horror classic that sneakily boasts one of the decade's best soundtracks (by Fred Myrow and Malcolm Seagrave). What's going on at the local mortuary and crematorium? Is it really happening? Is it really a dream? Why are bodies disappearing right and left? Where do the lethal Silver Spheres that wield strange weaponry come from? (One grisly Sphere-effected kill is a famous one!) There really is no other film like PHANTASM (and the first 'Nightmare' famously ripped off its ending). The retro-cool SteelBook design proudly displays a brazen image of a lethal Silver Sphere with weapons deployed. I love the original film poster art, but this is a slick new design for a great presentation of a screen gem that deserved a remaster. Get one before The Tall Man takes the rest home with him! "BOY!!!"

Ahhh 1979, the year I gragitated High School. With the exception of maybe Romero's NofTLD, Laser Blast, and The Incredable Melting Man...possibly Scanners there was really nothing like this around. My friends and I used to watch these kinds of movies on some late night cable channel out of SF/Oakland, maybe KTVU...Bob Wilkens Creature Feature I think was the program. I was really surprised to see it in steel box, Blu-ray with lossless audio, so I grabbed it. JJ Abrams oversaw the resto, no wonder he makes movies like Cloverfield. This is a must have "reference" disc for any sci-fi horror fan who likes things like Event Horizon. As far as picture quality, I mean it's lo budget 1970's and this is as good as it's ever going to get...so basically DVD quality that's been cleaned-up. You watch movies like this and say...good luck getting anything like that made today.

Phantasm is a staple in horror classics. A top notch story, gore, and atmosphere. I already owned the movie but had to get the new remastered version. There are two remastered versions out there. I purchased this one as the all white steelbook is beautiful to look at on the shelf. Definitely pick this version up if you do not have the out of print box set collection.

I enjoyed watching this move again much more than I expected. Yes it is somewhat cheezy because of the age of the movie and at the same time terrifying. This looks amazing and was well worth the money. If you have seen the original movie back in the day, I would recommend picking this up to add to your horror movies collection.

I've been waiting for this to be released on bluray for what seems like an eternity. Been talking to my son about this movie while perusing through the store as nd low and behold what is staring me in the face. But this glorious movie. I remember the cheesiness so well from my childhood. A True Classic!!!

This is a simple but very slick SteelBook for Phantasm. I like it a lot, and it looks pretty sharp on your shelf. The movie is still my favorite of the series, so I enjoy the movie. Also, there are a lot of extra features included with this disc, most of them new. Overall this is a great package.

BOOOY!!! I sure do love this movie and steelbook. I think I like it even more because it scares my mom and I like to tease her with it. But the movie itself is perfect. I encourage all to watch it and own it. The tall man is pretty creepy but he makes the movie perfect.

Hard to believe Phantasm is 40 years old! This movie scared the bejeebers out of me as a young teen, and while it doesn’t always hold up to my memories, its still a wildly original concept for horror. The extra features were fun, and the commentary track was filled with a lot of great trivia and behind the scenes insights.

Phantasm was made in 1979 so if you are looking at this I’m sure you are already a fan. This version has a short intro by angus scrimm, the tall man, as well as several bonus features. The steelbook artwork is nice as well.

We all know the classic film PHANTASM! It holds up so well decades later. They just don't make them like this anymore. The Blu Ray video is great as well as the audio! Glad I upgraded from the DVD to the Blu Ray!!

What can I say about Phantasm? It is just a great 1970's horror flick. If you have not seen this do yourself a favor and watch it. The steelbook makes it extra special. BOOOOOOOOOYYYYYY!

This movie put the fear in me when I was a child making me believe that the Baoding balls were the same from the movie. Haha one of my favorite horror movies from the late 70's. I recommend it.

What an improvement over the standard DVD image quality. Also better audio. And a nice ton of extras. If considering this movie go for this blue ray....worth the few extra bucks.

Angus Scrimm...love you. The Tall Man became one of the most recognizable icons in horror. By far the best out of the series and I would submit, most enjoyable.

Very interesting movie. Very good production design for an extremely low budget film. Genuinely frightening and an amazing performance by Angus Scrimm as the Tall Man.
