Good Smart TV for the price if it’s made by TCL

I am fairly happy with my new xumo pioneer 40” tv. It says it is made in Vietnam on the box. My research indicates that pioneer is owned by TCL electronics, so if it is a rebadged TCL then I would think that the quality is quite good for a budget class TV . The picture quality is good and the apps in general are great, including xumo which has lots of free channels. The only downside to this TV is I can not tune my dvr remote control to work with the mute function on the TV software . Also the picture settings on custom mode seem to change at random after I have adjusted screen settings. The updates must be done manually with a usb stick. I also would have thought that updates could have been done automatically with wi fi ? Beware I turned on closed caption function , have not been able to get it to work.

GREAT AS A MONITOR & TV

I'm presently using the TV as a monitor for my computer. Works great & the color is perfect. Very easy to switch between TV & monitor modes. If you're looking for a great alternative to a traditional monitor, I HIGHLY recommend the Pioneer XUMO TV. Works great as a TV with all my streaming services.

Great Flat screen TV at a Great Price

I had purchased this flat screen TV for my daughter’s bedroom. I was so impressed with the picture quality and it’s affordable price I had to purchase another for my own bedroom. I know that there are flat screen tv that cost up towards several hundreds of dollars and that they might even be considered a much better product. But for the Pioneer’s price point, the picture quality and sound I don’t think I could find another flat screen TV (with comparable specs) at this price.

Solid budget buy

Great budget pick in being very solid picture right out the box. Bought the TCL S5 at the same time for another location and I like this one better visually, though the TCL has a faster menu with settings I like. Would definitely recommend. I researched on rtings for a while, then found that this one perfectly fit my setup (see photo)

It's a good tv overall but the only reason im not giving it a 5 star is because on the controller there is no return channel back to switch betweem channels. Also needs to have a better mirror screening option.

This TV is one of the best purchases I've ever made. We've had it for two years now, and it's still like new. It's very convenient and easy to use, with excellent picture and sound quality. The remote control is very comprehensive and even has voice command, making it easy for my daughters to find what they're looking for without having to type anything! I highly recommend it.

Excellent purchase. The price and size are very good, and it has excellent resolution and sound. My son was delighted because it has voice commands, which makes it easy for him to access the videos or movies he wants to watch. We are very happy with our purchase; we recommend it.

I got it as an Open Box but I didn't notice any significant damage. Picture is clear and colors look great! The Smart UI could be better... I find it kind of hard to navigate it sometimes! Other than that, setup was smooth and my overall experience has been great!

For the price I have zero complaints. Great picture! Love apple play option. I haven’t found one complaint yet. Purchased for me bedroom. I am adding a picture but my spouse has not finished with the cords that are hanging

I would recommend this tv to anyone. It is a smart tv with good picture quality. The sound, however could be better on it, other than that it is an all around good product for the price.

Pioneer TV, Smart Options for What you Want!

Smart HDTV that Comcast apps work as they should. Has many guides and search functions. I use an antenna for local stations and only pay for internet with Comcast. The set has Live TV which is streaming internet channels. Peacock is included with my internet with Comcast and I seem to arrange it first in my apps. I set up Comcast Streaming app second. These apps work perfectly. The only problem was since I am 40-50 miles from our local channels in Ft. Myers, I had to add a signal amplifier which provided reception day and night of local broadcast channels. Also I added a VESA stand and have VHS, DVD, Blu-Ray, and Digital Recorder, with one over 20 years old and still working!
