Stereo is great. The Weblink Host app ruins the video casting though. Worked for about 2 days and went into asking for permissions that were already accepted... Again and again and again. Contacted the weblink company and havent heard back. Went to their youtube and they jump-take through the problematic permissions part. Pioneer's youtube about it disabled comments. And Weblink's FAQ says to fix it by pressing the back button(which ends up exited the GD app). Sooooo... Get a diiferent stereo if you are trying to cast video.

I installed my head unit late so I wasn’t able to return it, but there are multiple issues with my unit. Two RCA channels did not work so I had to use a line level converter to get the music signal to my amp. When you are connected over Bluetooth or as an IPod, if you are not playing anything the screen says Uknown. It would not be an issue if they had spelled Unknown correctly but now that I have noticed it spelled wrong it bothers me a lot. White button lighting looks more teal than white. Steering wheel volume controls do not seem to work on this head unit even with the adapter connected and functioning otherwise perfectly. Overall, sad I purchased and wish I would have spent a bit more to get something worth upgrading my factory head unit to. Although it does play music and have a responsive touch screen so I guess it does the basics.

The Weblink feature is so you can do some mirroring of your phone.
For maps and music applications, CarPlay and Android Auto will work better.

This radio was not what I expected. I was under the impression that it had apple car play. It did not but overall it’s an ok radio.

For $280, there's some annoying issues. Boots up quick, vivid display, pretty decent EQ that sounds good even on stock speakers. BUT as soon as you try weblink, the only app that works this radio, the experience goes down like a plane on fire. It's infuriating to work with and is extremely limiting. Want google maps? Nope. Spofify, Pandora or apple music? Nope x3. Weblink has youtube and waze, that balances back out right? Garage app and features.
I didn’t want my to continue using my stock radio so I bought an open box radio for leas that $160. Its way better than the original but it’s missing apple car play and no navigation, and the equalizer is non existent. I probably spent 50 bucka more for the Sony.

It plays but the best thing about it is the bluetooth. The features are so out of date and I regret spending the money. You have to download an app that has access to all of your other appa to connect your phone.

Finctions woth bluetooth and backcamera works fine. It has its own application called web link and it mirrors your screen for waze. It does mot have the actual waz app or pandora. I would spend the extra money next time to make sure it has apple and android features and apps

It doesn’t do anything I wanted it to do. Its looks nice but now i have wires and attached cords out in the open. I could do more with my factory radio

This unit sounds great, especially if you can do custom eq tunes, but that doesn’t offset just how bad the screen mirroring feature is. It took 30 minutes just to get all of the phone settings right.

I am sorry the DMH-342EX did not meet your needs.
Check with the Geek Squad, they can let you know if it is possible to return the unit and upgrade to the DMH-1500NEX.

Everytime I get in my Truck and plug in my cell phone I have to setup the radio again and again. It's very annoying and frustrating. I just wish my settings could be saved like my other vehicle radio. I would like to just get in plug my radio in and boom my music starts. But NOOOOOOOOO not with this radio I have to sit for another 30 minutes trying to set this thing up.

Check the connection of the yellow wire. This should have 12 volts all the time, to retain the memory settings.
If it still does not retain the memory, please contact our Product Support at 1-800-421-1404, select option 1. They will assist you further.
