Amazing comfort. I had a pair of turtlebeach X12's (not good), and wanted to step up to something with 7.1, and better sound quality. Looked at many of the popular pairs but none of them "hit home" with me, was planning on getting the Sennheiser gaming headset, but came across these. I put them on, and immediately picked up the box to purchase. 7.1 simulation is pretty good, not great. It enhances my experience in racing games, and FPS, but I don't turn it on for every game. Sound itself is fantastic. I'm very picky. Good even response all the way down to about 100hz, where we see some wavering. between 40Hz-80Hz, it feels overly compressed, but it's there. The build quality feels ok, not great, but better than most sub $100 headsets. Shortish cable. I would highly recommend these based on their performance and price.

Headset is comfortable with my glasses & has way better audio quality than my old headset. With my last set I had to have volume at 30 just to hear a phone call, with this one I'm max at 6. I wear them for work 10 hours a day & my ears don't hurt <3

Love the look and feel of this headset. Quality can be found in both the sound heard through the 40mm speakers and spoken through the plastic swivel mic boom. I had no problems being heard clearly by my friends with no background noise. Also with the headset on, I can still hear sounds around me so I am not deaf to the world. Since the headset covers my ears completely and has soft fabric cushions, wearing it for long sessions was not uncomfortable. The 7.1 virtual surround sound is hard to hear at first, but after playing the right games and remembering to set the sound settings correctly for each game, I can definitely tell the difference! Even when listening to music the sound is more full. Finally, the controls located directly on the left speaker makes it easy to adjust the volume, mute the mic, or toggle the surround sound. Some notable negatives: The plastic arch on top of the headset does feel like it could break over time. In fact, I read plenty of reviews claiming theirs broke and seen a youtube video of someone who actually broke it accidentally when they smacked their headset in frustration while playing a game. The USB cord has no 3.5mm analog jack so you can't use this with your phone or mp3 player. The USB cord is kinda short. The software that you have to install in order to use the virtual surround sound is very basic and doesn't allow you to adjust the treble and bass sound levels. And finally, the bass sounds are not as strong as I'd like them to be. Overall, this is an attractive middle-tier headset with virtual surround sound that actually works. Just handle it with care. I would definitely recommend it if you can get it at a discounted price.
