Q: where do I insert a memory stick /thumb drive or do I need a separate device?
A: This device plugs into a USB type A connector. You would plug your thumb drive into the same or same type connector (assuming your thumb drive uses USB type A). Thumb drives do not plug into this device.
Q: Can't seem to get it to work on my MAC
A: Chances are this is just an issue with your configuration. If you're in finder, open the finder menu (upper-left) and go to preferences. In the General tab (default) you'll want to make sure all the boxes are checked for the "Show these items on the desktop" option.
Q: How long is the included USB cord?
A: The included USB-C cable is 3 ft. (.9 m).
Q: Is this reader compatible with a Sony Memory Stick Duo?
A: No, this memory card reader doesn't work for Sony Memory Stick.
Q: How do I get it to work? To free up space on my laptop
A: It does not come with storage. You will need to buy a SD/Micro SD/Compact Flash to use with it.
Q: Will this connect to Apple tablet
A: No as featured with cable for "c" and "c-usb adapter". Ipads as a norm require "lighting" connection. There are after-market adapters to configure usb and lighting.
A: It is not recommended to download and run games off of a memory card, but it is doable. Memory cards are intended for the use of storing files, not constant read/write of files.
