So far works fine. Really speeds up booting and antivirus scans.

Second purchase of the PNY SSD for this 2011 ASUS I5. The older SSD has lasted and still available for use. However, this model is lighter and the performance is on par with this year of computer. This cost was less which was another factor and seems to be just as good as the higher priced models. If you are on a budget this is one to go with

This 500GB ssd drive is the 2nd PNY SSD drive that I purchased & own from Best Buy. My satisfaction with the 1st one motivated me to buy my 2nd one... along with the great sales price! It's compact, fast, reliable & easy to install. No more waiting 5-15 minutes for my pc to boot up, now it takes just seconds! Sweet! I highly recommend!

I was able to clone this drive using a third party which worked okay. I have purchased other drives that came with their own cloning software which worked actually quite better. But still a good performing Drive

I like these PNY SSD drives so far,i bought 3 of them as a upgrade from my spinning sata hard drives and what a difference! The PNY SSD drives are much faster then the older sata hard drives,my boot time is around 40 to 50 seconds, before with my older hard drive it was 2 min.or longer!I would recommend buying the PNY SSD drive because you cannot beat the price when they are on sale!

Bought this for a friend to replace their ancient hybrid hard drive. Windows runs like a dream and is fast when compared to old spinning hard drives. This is a nice gateway to upgrade your old dying PC. It's not amazing when compared to other SSDs and is a sloth compared to newer NvME SSDs. Buy this to refresh an old PC only.

I have used the PNY SSD for a few installs on used/older machines... works great - adds new life to an older machine. Easy Install

[Employee of bestbuy] It's not a fancy SSD. No 3D NAND, no DRAM Cache, but it does have 64 layers of TLC. However, it lacks more advanced functionalities you'd find on the Crucial or Samsung counterparts on the market. So if you want a very GOOD 2.5" SSD, you're gonna have to go for one of those two. But if you need something cheap to store your steam games, ultra high-def videos, or something just to slap in a cheap laptop, this will do it just fine. The read speeds are pretty consistent, getting over the 500MB/s mark pretty consistently for both short and long transfers. Write speeds are, however, where this drive constantly fell short. But that's expected with a DRAM cache, and it was still faster than most spinning drives at around 150MB/s. This drive is being used in a laptop with an M.2 Gen3 NVME boot drive, and this was added as secondary storage. Games that normally would have issues reading on a hard drive such as GTA 5, Gmod, etc seem to load exceptionally quick in this configuration.

Outstanding SSD for the price. Perfect for extra internal storage with little room available.

Everything worked as advertised. It is a hard drive so if you plug it in and it works you are good to go.

Works great so far. I purchased this to replace a hard disk and this PNY SSD is much faster than that hard drive, of course. It's not rated as fast as some other SSD's, but for what I needed this for, it's perfect for a much lower price.

Terrific upgrade if you're still using a mechanical hard drive. PNY doesn't supply cloning software for this particular drive - most of the SSDs they make for that matter - but Google can find you a free solution in that department. How much faster can a SSD make your computer? The laptop I upgraded is an AMD A6-7400 with 4GB of DDR4 RAM. The SSD alone improved boot times from about 5 minutes to desktop to about 45 seconds; I did upgrade the RAM, which took it down to about 20 seconds. If you have a computer made in the last 4-5 years and you want to get some more life out of it, this is the upgrade for you.

Good SSD PNY getting more competitive, reliability, power effiecency, performance (keeps going) under loads. Like many have said bang for your buck. Reasonble pricing is key. It is in 24/7 system.

I had a 8 core desktop computer I Built about 6 years ago and wanted to speed it up a bit to get a little more life out of it. This PNY SSD made a big difference in the performance. The system booted up in a fraction of the time of the previous 7200 rpm SATA HD. I'mvery pleased with m_ purchase.

Well built drive, fast operation, super easy to install, only issue is it didn't come with mounting screws like every other HD I have purchased. Being additional storage I was adding in open slot and had to call around to find screws.
