These were purchased for shelf sitters for an adult fan. They are delicate and some parts fall apart easily. Not a challenge to put together, again for an adult. I would not recommend them for children, though. There are small pieces, and again very delicate and seem easy to break or hard for some children to put together. For my use, they are adorable, and look great on my office shelf.
