Answered by Polk AudioHello, the Polk Audio XT12 subwoofer has two types of inputs. LFE/Line level input and Speaker Level input. It is best to place the subwoofer on the Floor. Floor placement is highly recommended resulting in maximum performance.
After connecting the sub, sounds great. playing a local FM channel on the tuner, when I change inputs i.e. Roku, the sub is still playing the music from the FM channel. whats up with that?

I would recommend that you contact the manufacturer of your AVR and see what might be happening when it switches inputs but the subwoofer is stuck on the previous one.
