Q: This is the one with the mounting plate for textured surfaces?

A: I would contact popsocket on that. I would think so since car dashes are not smooth. I know it says for cars but I use on my desk so I can move around..I did not remove to seal for it to be stationary..I contacted PopSocket looking for a product and they got back with me in 24 hours or less.

Q: My dash is not flat, but slightly curved. Will this stick? And if my phone is sideways (landscape) in the mount, will is stay in place?
