I bought Far Cry 3 because I'd heard it was "Skyrim with guns". While that's not exactly the case, the fact that you can go off quest and do just about anything (hunting, collecting treasure, craft stuff to use) makes not comparing the two games almost impossible. Gameplay wise Far Cry 3 is excellent and frustrating at the same time. Running, gliding, swimming, climbing? Excellent. Driving on land? Abysmal. it's the same driving as in Far Cry 2 with you in the driver's seat either going way to fast or really....really...really slow. there's not really a happy medium which leads to the player speeding to a destination, incurring all sorts of damage and then ditching the car when they get there. Strangely, the boat and jetski seem amazingly stable and are a whole lot more fun to use. All in all, Far Cry 3 has some control issues that have plagued the series from the beginning but those only take away from the game every so often. It's still a great experience and an excellent example of where games are going.

This game has a very interesting and attention-grabbing story that made me not want to stop playing. The main story alone will take you some time to do but it's got plenty of other side missions to do that are I actually found fun to take the time to do.There's a variety of weapons and skills and, along with them, a variety of ways to play through the game because of them. Was not disappointed.

I bought this game at my son's request. He hasn't stopped playing it for 2 weeks straight now. The used price was great and there weren't any problems with the game.

Love the game, the single player mode gets 5 stars from me, the coop mode only 3. All the crafting is not part of the coop mode which is disappointing to me.

This game seems to have an endless amount of adventures, with so many options of play. Very realistic, and captivating. Great investment.

This game is a great overall shooter to have fun with, it has a good story line and great realistic weapons. I would recommend it to anyone.
