ProOptic - 77mm Close-up Lens 500D

Under the umbrella of Adorama's high-quality optical solutions, the 77mm Close-up Lens 500D stands out as a superior choice for photographers seeking to capture the minute details of their subjects. This lens, part of the esteemed 250D/500D series, boasts a double-element achromatic design that ensures maximum optical performance, delivering crisp, clear images every time.Unlike the standard 500 series, which features single-element construction, this 77mm Close-up Lens 500D is engineered to provide an economical yet effective solution for close-up photography. It effortlessly changes the closest focusing distance from infinity to 500mm, approximately 19.7", allowing you to get closer to your subjects without sacrificing image quality.Whether you're using it with your Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 MK2 or with a step-up ring on your Tamron 17-50 f/2.8, this lens is designed to deliver consistent results. However, it's worth noting that some users have found that manual focus can sometimes yield better results than auto-focus with this lens, particularly when shooting in challenging conditions.Ideal for photographers who don't frequently engage in macro photography but still require a reliable lens for occasional close-up shots, the 77mm Close-up Lens 500D offers a cost-effective alternative to a dedicated macro lens. It's also a great choice for portrait photographers, as it can double as a portrait lens, making it a versatile addition to any camera bag.
