About This Item
Limited edition vinyl LP pressing. Founded in 1990 by frontman Walter Schreifels, Quicksand rose to notoriety in the '90s, with many dubbing the band a key pioneer in New York City's post-hardcore scene. Their debut self-titled EP was followed by two major tag albums, Slip and Manic Compression. The band would eventually disband in 1999, but recently reconvened in 2012 for a reunion tour. Originally released in 1995 on Island Records, Quicksand's sophomore major tag , Manic Compression, is not only their last album to date but also their most successful, peaking at #135 on the Billboard 200. Gatefold vinyl reissue from SRC with lacquers made by Lucky Lacquers.
