Raul Torres was a Puerto Rican musician working as a cane cutter in the Everglades of Florida in the late 1960's when he recorded this charming homage to the rural music of his homeland. An accomplished singer and guitarist, Torres had a wonderful feel for the traditional Inchjibaros,Inch the music of the working class tenant farmers and fieldworkers, representing the cultural ideology and the pioneering spirit of the Puerto Rican people.
