This items helps with sales tremendously. Only issue I have found is that it keeps disconnecting and can be a real pain to reconnect on the go.

Square makes it so easy to accept payments while you are out on the go. The Square Reader for contactless and chip cards makes it even easier to accept cards while being mobile for a small price. You can accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cash App, Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover and JCB. It's so easy to just tap or insert to get paid on the go!. What comes in the box? You get the contactless chip reader, a USB-C cable to charge the reader, a sticker with payment types and instructions. You will need to have the Square app on your phone, make sure your bluetooth is turned on to set up and pair the reader to your phone. Set up is very fast and very easy. The battery has lasted for my 7 hour events with no issues. This is an upgrade from the previous versions - so you no longer need a headphone jack to swipe cards. It works with both iPhone and Android devices. It includes data secutiy, 24/7 fraud prevention, and payment dispute management at no extra cost. This is a great upgrade from previous versions. Would recommend.

--- SETUP --- Setting up the square reader was quick and simple. It came halfway charged, but I did a full charge before use. Update the device’s software and you’ll be ready to use it in no time.. --- FEATURES --- This square device (gen 2) looks similar to gen 1 but it has improved connectivity and can be charged with a USB-C cable. On a full charge, it can last you all day. You can recharge with mobile chargers if needed. You get charged 2.6% + .10 cents for every tap or CC insertion. Accepts Apple pay, Google Pay, and other NFC payments such as tapping a debit card. --- PERFORMANCE AND EXPECTATIONS --- The square reader worked flawlessly. I teach salsa dance classes on the weekends. I currently have 1 square swivel with an iPad, and 1 gen 1 card reader. Now with the gen 2, I was able to charge more dancers quicker, as each of my dance partners had a device. I was using the gen 2, which I noticed didn’t lose connectivity during use, which occasionally happens with the gen 1. It charges fairly quickly with the USB-C cable and is very light. My customers paid with both, NFC phone taps or CC/Debit card insertions. Using the app on my phone, I was able to quickly charge customers for 1 class, 2 classes or private lessons. For the private lessons, I took my time setting up different packages and discounts for more purchases of private lessons upfront. Customers were able to see what they were buying before committing to payment and the receipt was either emailed or texted to them. Additionally, I had a show I was hired to perform at. Once at the show, the client said they’d pay with a CC on site. This gen 2 Square device was the perfect travel companion. I made an invoice from the square site and was able to charge them with my device. Client and I were both happy with how quick and easy it is to use Square. --- APPROVAL --- If you’re starting a business or your business requires you to travel, Square is your best friend to safely and securely charge your customers. I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants their business to have a more trustworthy presentation.
