Carbon Special Black Label, with premium wood grille, comes closest to delivering the Reference experience at about half the price. A 12” pure carbon fibre active driver with almost 5” of total stroke mates with a 900-watt amplifier and a downfiring 12” passive. Renowned for its musical character and explosive dynamics. Optional wireless.
Amplifier is conservatively rated at 900w. Routinely delivers 1250 watts for extended periods. Features our latest generation pure analog Perfect Filters™ that extends the usable low bass performance into the region at and below 20 Hz. REL High Level Connection allows for seamless blending between your main speakers and Carbon Special. Note the special locking connector on the rear panel, it permits plug in locking connection to REL’s proprietary wireless connection Airship Direct.
Carbon Special Back Label uses an active 12” CarbonAlloy driver that delivers 5” of total throw, its 3” voice coil handles massive power. It is more efficient due to the use of a pure carbon fiber center cap that reduces moving mass. Lighter, faster and more powerful, these and its matching 12” carbon/carbon passives deliver the liquidity this model is renowned for. Higher output means it delivers the goods in home theatre and makes a perfect partner in high end 2-channel systems.
Designed to be perfect. Start at the top; a gorgeous triple chrome badge is surrounded by a carbon fibre bezel resting on the deepest Piano Black Lacquer. Slide down the side panels, each sliced by 3 horizontal strakes that lower the centre of gravity. A tiny embossed black crown informs you of its provenance. The polished stainless-steel handles are both gorgeous and practical; how else does one lift them onto a Line Array?
