We highly recommend installing the battery upright. It is allowed to install the battery on its side only if there are special reasons for doing so. Do not install the battery upside down.
The Renogy Deep Cycle AGM Battery features an integrated internal structure and sealed design, sparing you from intricate internal troubleshooting. Therefore, the battery is ideal for solar system beginners or anyone who prefers a product with simple operations. The upgraded electrolyte formula ensures excellent discharge performance from -4 to 140°F/ -20 to 60°C, allowing the battery to function seamlessly in freezing conditions without requiring extra temperature compensation. You can connect up to 4 batteries in parallel. You can also connect multiple batteries in series. It's advisable to connect batteries of the same type (AGM), capacity (Ah), and voltage (V) from the same brand. We also recommend using a battery balancer to prolong the service life when connecting multiple batteries in series and/or parallel. Before installing the battery, please note that you need to leave 1.97-3.94 in (5-10 cm) for the top of the battery; the side with busbars needs to be left at least 7.87 in (20 cm).
