My favorite Aronofsky film. A tough watch but amazingly written and acted by everyone. The steelbook itself is definitely one of my favorite Best Buy exclusives. The slipcover is cool and the artwork conveys the movie's tone perfectly

I swear Lionsgate always have an awesome Steelbooks artwork and Requiem For A Dream is cool. Loved the artwork from front and back and inside artwork is pretty cool and they design the disk as an eyeball which was cool. The movie is classic and amazing to watch. Depicting of how drugs can do to yourself and others is scary and they did well on how dangerous it is. That because all the actors are amazing in the film. Jared Leto, Jennifer Connelly and Marlon Wayans all were fantastic in the movie. People should check this movie out, you won't be disappointed by it.

Darren Aronofsky masterfully portrays what it is to be immersed in addictions in this raw and very hard but fascinating film that is already a classic. The steelbook is beautiful

Darren Aronofsky's mad drug fueled nightmare journeys the audience through the lives of 4 addicts of various substances. It is split into seasons starting with Summer, then Fall, Winter, and ends in Spring. I will be completely honest and say that it does have its faults. It can lack the subtlety of more mature films in its dialogue and appearance. However, this film is a collection of sequenced art scenes that are gorgeous in how haunting they become. In the end, you may be traumatized like so many that have viewed this film, but Requiem for a Dream will leave you thinking and disturbed. I can guarantee that much. Jared Leto is a harrowing heroin addict. One of his best acting performances other than Dallas Buyer's Club. He oozes desperation for a fix exponentially throughout the film's duration. Jennifer Connelly is so sympathetic, you just feel worse and worse for her character for what she does for love, acceptance, and drugs. Marlon Wayans is more about making his place in the world with money and heroin dealing. You see his sad past lead to a broken future. Ellen Burstyn is perhaps the most underrated performance in Requiem for a Dream. Her addiction seems to be sugar, then you realize its television. Her obsession with watching leads her to ruination. In short, Aronofsky demonizes substance abuse, but takes care in showing the downward spiral of addiction is the most exaggerated, but poignant way he knows. The cinematography will dazzle and terrify you. Clint Mansell's legendary and now infamous score will haunt you for the rest of your days. Darren Aronofsky's mad masterpiece is a demonstration of film making with innovative edits, cuts, synchronization, musical swells, and deranged sequencing. Nearly every scene is shot differently. It's a very interesting movie to look at in that I doubt you will be bored.

Masterpiece of a movie, the cinematography of this movie is beautiful the soundtrack absolutely excellent, it shows the extremes that people are willing to go through. This is definitely a 18+ movie but is definitely a movie that you should watch at least once and you will never forget about it.

This movie is simply brilliant. It’s been 19 years since it was released, and there has yet to be a movie that depicts addiction the way this movie does! A must see! Finally a movie that shows addiction from the perspective of the addicts themselves, not the dealers. It’s heartbreaking and magnificent.

Very dark subject matter leads to a chilling ending. Blu-ray presentation is very good. The making of bonus feature is definitely worth watching.

THE feel-good movie of the year 2000! Harry (Jared Leto) and Tyrone (Marlon Wayans) are two wacky buddies who are out to make a quick buck and help Harry's girlfriend Marion (Jennifer Connoly) get her clothing business off the ground. When the duo leave her behind to do a quick drug deal, all sorts of hijinks ensue. And what will happen when Harry's mother Sara gets picked to be on her favorite game show? Keep an eye out for a surprise cameo from fan-favorite character actor Keith David!

Probably one of the scariest drama of it's kind ever made. The movie definitely reflects the deep dark secrets hidden behind the doors of every neighborhood across America and possibly the world. Groundbreaking in it's sound , imagery and acting this movie was released in 1999 to contend with Fight Club , America Beauty and The Matrix and even though America Beauty won the Academy Award , I believe that this movie and the other two were way better films by far. The best way to experience the movie is in 4K Ultra HD to get the full effect and with the reasonable price range it won't break your budget.

Shocking, disturbing, emotional, dramatic, sad, are words to describe this powerful film by Darren Aronofsky about the perils of drug abuse. Ellen Burstyn gives a memorable performance, and should have won the Oscar, in one of her best film roles. Jared Leto, Jennifer Connelly and Marlon Wayans add incredible support. Rough going at times, and harrowing, but a must see for anyone interested in serious filmmaking about a devastating topic. Simply brilliant. A MUST SEE!!

Requiem For A Dream still packs a powerful, stinging gut-punch some twenty years later with its fresh camera techniques, phenomenal score, and haunting imagery, not to mention the incredible performances by all involved. There's nothing quite like this movie still to this day and its message about any kind of addiction. This new 20th Anniversary 4K UHD release has an amazing new transfer with Dolby Vision and a fantastic new Dolby Atmos audio mix. The brand new bonus features are all worthwhile as well. MUST-OWN!
