Q: How many Ring Power Packs can be connected to the Ring Alarm Pro?

A: You can connect up to 3 Power Packs to the Alarm Pro.

Q: What is the maximum battery life of the Ring Power Pack?

A: The Ring Power Pack provides up to 8 hours of battery backup.

Q: Does the Ring Power Pack work with any other Ring devices?

A: Yes, the Ring Power Pack is compatible with the eero 6 Extender.

Q: Why is the Ring Power Pack useful?

A: The Ring Power Pack ensures your home security remains operational during power outages.

Q: How long is the cord on the Ring Power Pack?

A: The cord length of the power pack is 0.5 feet.

Q: How is the battery is charged, is there a plug that goes from the outlet to the battery? Is there a connection from the battery to the camera as well? I am looking for a back-up to keep the cameras activated in the event of a power disruption.

A: Hi Donald. Thanks for asking. Ring Power Packs are external backup batteries designed to provide extra power for Ring Alarm Pro and the eero 6 Extender. Ring Power Packs are meant to be plugged into your Alarm Pro all the time. When the power goes out, the Power Packs will keep your Alarm Pro on, and when the power returns, they will recharge themselves. Q: Does the ring system have local storage? In the event of a power outage the battery packs will keep the system running but what about the wifi being out, does it have the ability to store event footage without a wifi connection?

A: I assume you mean without an Internet connection. The Ring Alarm Pro has a micro-SD slot and with the proper subscription can store video from your cameras to the local storage before sending it to your Ring subscription with a caveat. Only devices connected to the Ring Alarm Pro base station will store to the micro-SD so if you are extending with the eero mesh the devices connected to the extenders might not save to the local storage.
