Q: Does anyone know if the wall wart is hard wired to this or does it unplug from the USB part so that I could use a cigarette lighter adapter in the car for people in the back of my car/truck? Thanks for any insight folks.

A: Hello, It is misleading to call this a hub in a computer sense. It is simply an extension from a regular wall plug with 4 regular usb points to charge multiple devices. No passing of information between the ports. This does not have a USB-c slot. Should be noted the wall plug portion is NOT a two piece consisting of a usb connector and plug- it is only a two pronged electric plug. It does it’s job perfectly and charges fast. I bought 3 and drastically reduced the number of wires plugged directly into the wall.

Q: This description and specification page omits a VERY important spec - HOW MANY VOLTS? Devices use 5 volts, 12 volts and some even 15 volts to charge their batteries.

SGC Super Great Charger
I actually bought 2 of these. I took one back because it didn’t light up so I assumed it wasn’t working. The Best Buy Associate said well did you turn the switch on? Hmmmm what switch, it had a tiny inconspicuous switch right there on the side. He plugged it in, turned on the switch and wallah. I said omg that’s an excellent feature because I had it on my nightstand and it resoluted just enough light I had to cover it to sleep. I now just turned it off but it still charges even when the light is off. I LOVE THEM. The cord is long enough to reach from the outlet to my nightstand, then my charge cord is long enough that I am not having to lean toward the outlet because my cord just isn’t quite long enough.

Good quality
This is a great charger so far. It has a very thick cord to accommodate charging multiple devices. It also does not slide around like I thought it might. It is more substantial in weight than I was expecting. I also like that the ports are illuminated by LEDs so I can plug in without turning the light on as I have it on my night stand. That feature can be turned off if you don't want that, however it is not obnoxiously bright. I am thinking about getting more for my sons.

A good purchase
This is nice to have, works great. With the different cable connections (mini, A, B, C), I have a cable plugged into each port of the usb hub for all my devices. I can charge any one or all any time without switching cables or plugs or connections. The ports are highlighted with blue light for easy access, day or night. I really like this product, very useful.
