Prior, I had a Roku stick that finally burned out after a couple of years of heavy use. I bought a another Roku stick, but got 2 overheat warnings within 3 days of ownership so I returned it. I went with Roku Express because if its low sale cost of $25 and the small size. I stuck with Roku because of the Spectrum app. With the included double sided tape, I mounted it under my 32" Samsung TV. I used the USB port behind the TV for power and used the included short HDMI cable to cleanly not have any wires showing. Also, I like being able to shut off the TV and having the Express be off with the TV instead of staying on. After almost a couple weeks, there has been no issues. The sales rep let me know that the Express has a slower processor than the other models and that you have to point the remote directly at it, but so far I do not notice much difference with my experience with Roku stick and the remote issue does not bother me at all. I am happy and hope it will last.

Purchased this updated express model because Apple TV/TV Plus is, for some reason, not available on my 3 y/o 4K TV with Roku and a 3 y/o express device and also because I wanna be able to see the above app's contents on my TV sets without having to plug in my iPhones, iPads or MacBook Pro...and Lord knows I ain't gonna spend on the overpriced Apple TV box. I must say this doesn't disappoint for the above reason and also because this feels a lot snappier and produces better picture than my old express device. Setup is as easy as ever without any hiccups. Definitely highly recommended for cord cutters, future cord cutters and those like me who have all their TV/movie entertainment online.

Love these things always have. They make streaming your favorite shows through your favorite provider a blast. I have smart tvs and still have these hooked to everyone of them. And it can make any non smart tv smart hypothetically.
