I purchased the Salton - Harley Pasternak 64-Oz. Blender - Black after reading reviews and comparing other brands. For the price, this has been a fantastic addition to my kitchen. I first used it to make bread crumbs from a hard loaf I found in my freezer. Was very impressed with the ability to break it down. When making frozen drinks with ice, the concoction is very easily blended, although there were a few ice chunks remaining in the finished product. Because of it's size, it does not fit under my kitchen cabinets, but I am willing to store it elsewhere. It just means a little more inconvenience when I am ready to use it. I am looking forward to using it a LOT in future recipes!

I have been using this blender at least once a day since I bought about 3 weeks ago. It has soundly handled everything that I have throw at it. My typical morning smoothie consists of one cup of apple juice, one cup of fresh frozen pineapples, a big hand full of fresh kale, a good size piece of fresh ginger and two tablespoons of a flax seed, chia seed and hemp seed mix. The blender purees everything down to such a smooth mixture that I can't even detect the seeds. I was even able to make a vegan sour cream alternative using soaked cashews, olive oil, fresh squeezed lemon and sea salt. It was smooth and tasty. This blender is a great value. If a vitamix is not in your budget, this blender is half the price and a great alternative. I highly recommend it.

My wife and I originally were looking at Vitamix and Blendtec blenders. We were looking to buy a Vitamix and stopped into BestBuy to see if they carried them when we stubbled upon this GEM. Never heard of the brand so I was skeptical however after seeing it had an all metal drive, large pitcher, multiple blades at the bottom and a solid motor - I decided to check out online reviews most everyone loved it so I thought at less than half the price of Vitamix what could we lose. ••••Fast Forward 60days••• we use it pretty much everyday to make delicious smoothes for breakfast. Have not tried it for soups yet however this blender is a beast and an honest value for the quality. Compared it to my parents base model Vitamix and I have to say we got a better blender at less than half the cost!

Very useful in everyday kitchen activity. Power enough to blend, crush, chop and many more.

Saw that Best Buy was offering the blender for $100. Other brand name blenders that operates the same cost two or three times more. Bought the red Salton Harley Pasternak and it is great. The blender blends everything down making great drinks and soups. I am very happy to purchase it.

My wife is vey pleased with this blender. She was wanting something that blends as well as those professional smoothie places. This product does just that.

bought this on a daily special and really didn't expect much better than the old one I have, but what a difference, it's so powerful it only takes about a quarter of the time to blend things (nuts) that my old one did, no lumps or chunks left just smooth blending

I bought 3 blenders the first time and brought 3 more the second time. I bought for myself, my family and friends. They worked great compared to Blentec and Vitamix, with the prices so low can't be beat. Already recommended to friends ( I did bought for them ).

I make a green smoothie every morning. I like my smoothie to be smooth, I want to drink it, not chew it. I tried other blenders, Ninja, none of them worked well. I was trying to justify the price for a Blendtex or Vitamix when I saw this one. After reading other reviews I decided to try it out. This blender is great! My morning smoothies are perfect. It does a great job on hummas without issue. It's a little loud, but just sounds like a high powered machine to me. It's no louder than my kitchenaid mixer.

I bought this blender online and in 2 day was deliver to my house. It is a great blender and for the price. It beats the vitamix blender. I make smoothies everyday for my 3 kids... love it

I'm not a juicer and I normally wouldn't buy one of these high-powered, expensive blenders. But it was on a daily deal for a great price and I like smoothies so I purchased it. I'm very happy with the purchase. When compared to my existing blender and food processor, this is significantly better/faster and the smoothie consistency is so much smoother. One caveat is that it is quite large so if you have storage issues, you're probably going to have to keep this on the counter. The only con I have about this is the cord storage part--it's manual, clunky and a bit difficult to wind into the base. Overall, great blender though.

I love this blender for smoothies, icee, etc. Thick shakes can stop the blender temporarily but then it starts going again.

I'd never pay the luxury brand prices for a blender but I purchased this on a daily deal at a significant discount and am very pleased with the purchase. It blends like a dream compared to my previous 600w model and I actually am being a little healthier. For example, if I have salad mix, veggies that are on the verge of going bad, I throw that into the blender and drink it down. I haven't tried making soup in it but that's a fun ideal. It is quite large so you want to have storage or be comfortable with it on the countertop. My only con is the cord--it manually wraps under the base and has these clunky plastic pieces to hold it in there. Other than that, i'd highly recommend this.

This blender is well built and looks nice on the counter also! I've blended some great smoothies lately and it crushes ice very well.

I just got this blender today after returning one which leaked oil. This one does not leak. It is beautiful and, boy, does it blend well! I made some smoothies as soon as I washed it out and they were extremely smooth. The ice was creamed. It was smoother than the shakes which I get in the local smoothie joints. I just hope that this lasts for several years.

I bought this blender for the shear fact that I did not have one and it was on sale for $100. I don't use it that much, but when I do it works great. It seems to be made of durable materials and should last a while. It is tall though and wouldn't fit under my cupboards on my counter, but I live in an apartment so it is what it is.
