ive had the keyboard for a couple of weeks and its built pretty solidly and funtions properly. the keys have to be pressed a little hard but not really a big deal. the software it comes with is mediocre because you cant record on it (as for as i can tell) but it has a lot of instruments that come with it

Purchased as an open box special. Wanted a midi controller versus a regular keyboard due to a midi's versatility. I think, for the price, it is well-built with the features you would want in a keyboard midi controller. The included software is worth, by itself, about two-thirds the price of the Samson Carbon. I got the iPad adapter and it works flawlessly with my Samson Carbon and the iOS midi software. My pre-purchase research found the manufacturer's online support to be rather weak. This was confirmed by their response to my email asking for support in getting the included Native Instruments midi software to work with my Samson Carbon in Windows 8. I WAS able to get it to work via a web search into the problem (bottom line: it was, as suspected, a driver issue that was fixed by changing the driver to another one which was already included with Windows 8). In short, I am very pleased. I knew what I wanted after doing my research. My Samson Carbon fulfills my needs and it is a wonderful musical instrument.

Good value, easy to use with easy instructions and free software online. The keys do stick a bit but otherwise worth it for the price!

I got this purposely for travelling so I can practice when I am away from home, nice sound and features.

I upgraded to this from an Axiom 25 and I am impressed by the quality. Keys are very responsive I really have no complaints. The cable included is a little short and I had to use and extension but thats not a huge problem really. I would buy again!

Something I can take around with me easily. Works great with my iPad

Great starter Midi Control keyboard to get the most out of GarageBand

I am very pleased with my new MIDI controller. It is everything I hoped it would be and more.

This is really good keyboard for the type of stuffs I do at home. Am not a professional musician or anything of that sort. It's way too good for me coupled with GarageBand.

Am hoping to learn basic piano via the (free) lessons available on GarageBand. This was an easy set up on my Mac, ... The sounds are great, but there is limited volume on my Mac. The keys are very responsive, ... I wish I could add more pertinent information for prospective buyers, but I am just a beginner, and because of that I will offer this limited review! For the money, this is a great midi!! Easy to set up, easy to get started with GarageBand, a manageable size, and great sound. As I learn more piano, I will update this review in the hope that it's more helpful to others, but in the meantime, this is a great buy!!!! Easy to install, and with GarageBand there is no installation to speak of as the program recognizes the midi immediately. Wishing all of you prospective piano players the best of luck with your lessons!
