Because it was returned, no sound The insurance you buy is a total scam. If you have something really serious it accidentally happens like what happened to my other monitor. They’re not gonna help you at all. The Odyssey is a great gaming monitor no real complaints other than the $150 insurance plan you buy with these that doesn’t actually save you the long run

It's a good OLED monitor and $700 on sale isn't bad for this type of specs. However, their power button is made of trash. Only owned for a month now and it just crumbled on me. $900 retail and they can't even use a decent material for the power button. Decided to check for other similar scenarios online and it occurs a lot. Personally, I wouldn't buy it again but if you do, you're going to have figure out how to replace it on your own. I didn't contact warranty but from other cases, Samsung will not cover "physical accidents".

Decent monitor, just dislike the matte finish on the screen, decided to go with a different brand.

Don't be fooled by the "OLED" and "360hz" with "0.03ms" refresh times... this monitor doesn't push a sharp resolution and has a ton of issues displaying clear/crisp text. I did everything imaginable to sharpen that on the PC and even upscaled to 120% resolution to overcome this which drops the pixels down below its native 2k resolution. I wish the manufacturers stopped using the QHD, QWHD, UHD terminology and just said 2k or 4k native. The other horrible feature, presumably to prevent screen burn in is "pixel shift" which will cause your windows to bounce every minute or so 1 pixel left or right. At first your eyes think you're crazy and then you realize what it's doing and it becomes even more noticeable at night. Aside from all this negative, and the reason why I still give this monitor a 3/5, is that this thing comes in a beautiful metal frame with backlight and is a blazing 360hz refresh rate. Games run so incredibly smooth on this. If you don't mind the resolution problems, and you're using it for gaming, this is great - but maybe for less cash! I bought 3 and returned them after all my issues within the same week and got different ones.

[Employee of bestbuy] Overall a decent monitor with great picture, However its a basic OLED Panel nothing fancy and Samsung ruins it with a Matte finish on the screen. They really need to step up with their gaming monitors. The matte finish feels like it drowns out color. Make this a QD OLED with a glossy finished panel and it would be the perfect 1440p monitor.

Performance is great but the screen has some dots on it that appear to be an issue with the screen. It was a refurbished purchase, so maybe this is the cause. It was out of the return window when I noticed so I havent fixed. I would recommend for the performance, though.

Wish I would’ve been told that this doesn’t come with built in speakers. Quality is great!

Pictures quality is very nice, oled burn in prevention seems to be good/automatic. Now, compared to the LG 27 OLED. Build quality feels cheaper, power/menu button is in an akward location. Mounted on the wall, i have to reach over and behind the monitor to change settings. With LG having a remote makes is very inconvenient. I will hang on to it for a bit more for testing out other areas.

For the price i’d go with any new Asus unless you want matte coating

Colors were saturated. Black levels were too dark. Couldnt see when entering dark rooms in games.

The matte finish and sliver aluminum construction with thick bessels made this an easier return for me. Could have been the best OLED out of the 360 Hz batch but Samsung made some questionable design choices…

Bought this baby on sale (...yeah, on "sale"...) to give it a go. First thing is the picture and image quality are beautiful, with built in menu-selectable choices to either brighten the image or lower the blue light/dim it for a better eye-saving method (yes, this also has eye-saving mode). The response feels quick, but it does not have the overdrive that Samsung's other monitors have (maybe due to OLED...?), this doesn't always feel like it is .03ms, maybe a decent 1-3ms, but you do the internet searches for actual results versus Samsung's self-tested study. Assembly is the quickest of any of Samsung's monitors, so do not be scared (though disassembly may need a little elbow grease with the base to shaft). The base is FLAT, so it can be a usable spot to place items, versus the tall or super wide 'V' base that was used--this is for people that do not have monitor arms (GET ONE) The monitor itself is pretty thin and sleek, so it is appealing, along with the schnazzy LED ring on the back that can reflect what the average color is on your monitor. NOW let us talk about the menu control joystick that is now moved to the back RIGHT versus middle bottom of the monitor. This piece of plastic junk joystick to make menu selections is atrocious. After only using the monitor for 2 weeks and only using the stick to turn the monitor off and on with a simple middle click in, selecting down and then clicking in the joystick, IT BROKE. BEWARE the plastic crappy menu joystick, it is hollow and will break waaaaay to easily. For those that haven't had this happen yet, your time will come. I did get a replacement monitor, but this monitor I am currently using will have random backlight flickering after turning the monitor on...it will go dim then bright (yes my Displayport is all the way seated and secured, don't tell me it isn't--it has also done this with two other computers). 3 Stars is my vote, due to the lousy menu/power joystick flimsiness and random backlight flickering/dimming. If you can't turn the monitor on due to the button breaking, how can you enjoy this thing?
