As 2016 Australian Open was about to begin, and I wanted to enjoy it on a larger TV. Walked into a local Best Buy store, saw this Samsung HDTV UN40H5003AFXZA model on sales for $279. I mean, c'mon, a 40-inch HDTV for less than $300USD, bought it and took it home the very same day. Hook up was easy and it worked well with my Roku 2 streaming device. It came with a stand that's easily mounted so it can stand upright, and since it is so light, moving it around the house was easy. Again, for that price point, the clarity was amazing. In all, it's a great HDTV at as simply amazing price point!

My old Insignia flatscreen died suddenly after many years of service. Not one to be without a television, I immediately went to BestBuy.com and perused the offerings. I did not want a smart TV as it just had too many bells and whistles for my needs. I already have AppleTV and Showtime etc and I don't need my TV to act as a computer monitor or as part of a home entertainment system. So I purposely looked for non-smart TVs and found my Samsung 40" LED almost immediately. The price was right, it was even on sale for $50 off. I ordered it online and went to pick it up the next day. I was surprised at how light it was compared to my old unit. The picture is awesome, the screen size is perfect for my needs, and it was ridiculously easy to hook up. Great product for the value.

I bought this TV for use as a computer monitor. It was a breeze to hook up with HDMI. After a few tweaks to the settings it works wonderful. There is nothing like a 40" monitor and this price can not be beat. Great job Samsung and great job Best Buy for the smooth shopping experience!!

While this tv is a little thick by 2015 standards, it has a thin bezel and excellent 1080p picture. We put this on the wall in our master bedroom and couldn't be happier. Our large 52" Samsung LCD in our family room was bought in 2009 and runs like a charm. I have another 32" Samsung tv from 2004 that runs great. I will not buy any other brand as this is the best.

Fabulous picture, love the size. Smart tv features are great. Sound is surprisingly good. The base is a bit odd. It was limiting with my current furniture. I would prefer if the base had the option to swivel. Well worth the wait for the exact model I was looking for at the price point I could afford.

This replaced a damaged LED HDTV for my office trade shows. One feature I was hoping to find was the ability of the HDTV to play movie files from USB. This would eliminate the need for a separate laptop or computer to be connected. I FOUND IT!! To my surprise, the Samsung UN40H5003AFXZA HDTV has 1 USB input port. It then uses Samsung's ConnectShare built in software to run the movies. I can run *.MP4, *.WMV, *.MOV files with no issues. Setting them up to repeat individually, or repeat an entire folder, is easily controlled within the software of the HDTV. The picture quality at 1080P is also good. Many of the videos I play are in HD quality and this HDTV has no problems showing off dark blacks and bright colors. Overall, I am pleased to find this HDTV with a USB port and the ability to play "all" of my video files straight from the USB stick. I highly recommend this unit for those seeking similar needs.

Bought this tv for a bar area with limited space. Perfect size to fit on The bar and not interfere with the space. Good picture quility.

I have the utmost praise for this TV, it's high quality and affordable! The only difficulty I had was setting up the picture just right, that took hours :( After that it was smooth sailing. I sit about 7 feet from the TV and the image is crisp and clean. I recommend getting a sound bar, or a good pair of headphones with this TV. The speaker sound quality is good, but not great. The input settings memory is useful, but becomes a hassle if you want to connect multiple devices to the same HDMI port. Overall it's a good balance of price and quality.

I am enjoying my samsung HDTV looking forward to upgrding my living room set to a samsung

At the given price, the quality and the product, both strike a perfect balance. Truly a best buy for me in my budget.

So I bought this tv for the price. It replaced a smaller Visio. It's light and big in size. Picture quality is nice. I have Reg cable with roku stick, MacBook and blu ray player. This is where I'm disappointed...... Not enough hdmi outlets. THE OUTLET OPTIONS SUCK. If the tv wasn't so cheap I would return.

I recommend Samsung televisions. I had one before this one and liked it very much. It has all the features that I like it also connects perfect with my Samsung blue ray player and surround sound system.

I've rarely been so happy with a purchase. It arrived promptly, in perfect condition. Easy to assemble and operate. Fine picture & sound quality.

I love this TV it makes my gaming and Anime so much better graphically it's practically different games and shows

Bought this model today and walked through setup easily; however, when signal came in the picture was terrible with a purplish cast mixing with everything. Did a walk through with Samsung chat agent who had me send a photo of self-diagnosis color bars to him and his determination was an internal component had failed. I will be returning this TV for an LG tomorrow. Buy at your own risk.

Warranty 2 years, lasted 2 years 1 month. cost to repair not worth it, cheaper to buy a new one and get better quality. Found a good use for it later.

I did a lot of research on this TV, I really like Samsung products I believe they make a quality product that lasts. This TV is light weight, easy to set up and easy to use. Picture quality is excellent for the size and being a 1080p. it was an open box item so the price was significantly cheaper than the original price but I could find no indication of it being used or any scuffs or damage of any kind. it was listed as "open box excellent" and Best Buy doesnt lie about their open box descriptions either! literally the only thing wrong with it was the original box was damaged so thats why it was listed as "open box- excellent" and had a Geek Squad seal of approval. But just to be safe i spent the extra $35 on the 2 year protection plan. so if anything goes wrong with it best buy will fix or replace the TV.
