I appreciated the ease from switching to a connected console on hdmi and back to streaming on the home screen. it can easily change tv modes, brightness, etc. the audio and picture quality is decent as well, at least satisfactory for the average viewer. there is some delay when clicking through options of shows and such with the remote but that's not a huge deal. overall would recommend, it seems to be a very nice tv option before getting into oled and other such higher quality tv's focused on streamline gaming and such. i also had a positive experience with delivery of my item! overall i am very pleased after purchasing this during a sale.

I have had this about a week or two. Got er all setup and was looking great, was excited as this replaced an older samsung tv that had started developing problems. Woke up this AM and watching the news while getting ready for work and noticed that a commercial was looking really weird. Waited for the next commercial to make sure it wasn't trick photography. Nope, It was this TV. It had developed a red hue and the picture was really blotchy. kind of like a computer will do with skin tones when it's running out of memory. I love samsung products and realize this is probably a one off, but I bought this during black friday week, I realize I can just exchange it straight up as it isn't on sale with the great discount that I got it at, the unfortunate thing is that now I'm thinking of just upgrading to like the Q8F and that one is also no longer on sale with the great BF discount. I'll probably just trade straight up on this for the same model but I'm rather disappointed I got a defective one. I will say that this defect is intermittent. I came home from work and it was looking normal again but later in the day the blotchy and red hued image returned. Check out the uploaded photos

Hi KristianT,
Thank you for your feedback. Please ensure your U8000 TV is running the latest firmware update 1132.0. To do so, go to Settings> Support> Software Update. If that version is not available you can download the update on a USB drive and manually update your TV:
1. On Samsung's website (upper right corner), go to: Support > Manual & Software > Find your TV model, and click on the Firmware – Upgrade File.
2. When the file has finished downloading, locate it and then unzip it. There is normally one folder inside but there may be multiple files.
3. Copy or move all of the files that were included in the zip file to a USB flash drive, but do not place them inside any other folders. If you place the software folders inside a folder on the USB flash drive, the TV or monitor will not find them.
4. Connect the USB drive containing the software upgrade into a USB port on your device.
5. Using your device's remote, navigate to and select Settings, then select All Settings, and then select Support. Select Software Update, select Update Now, and then select Yes if prompted.
Your device will search the USB drive for update files. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the updated software. Updates usually take a few minutes; please do not turn off the TV until the update is complete. When the update is finished, it will restart automatically.
Should you need more help, we're here for you. You can reach us at 1-800-SAMSUNG (8AM – 12AM EST, 7 days a week), or connect with a LiveChat agent by selecting ‘Support’ on our website.

The issue was with the ordering process—it got stuck, and I couldn’t understand why at first. Eventually, I realized the problem was either with the store that was supposed to send the TV or the delivery service. After following up several times, I finally received it with a one-day delay. It arrived in good condition, and since then—almost two weeks now—I haven’t had any issues with it.

Very good TV for the price. However, it sits in the spare bedroom, and we watch it periodically.

Nice picture, no issues. There's better TVs out there but this is very good for the price.

It’s a cool tv it can control the volume of my amplifier via Bluetooth which I think is really cool.

Perfect size for my apartment living room. Good picture, sound and narrow stable base that fits well on my TV stand as it can't be mounted on the wall. Disappointed with the remote but the tech that setup gave me an old old he had. So far happy with my choice.

Great TV right out of the box. Easy set up with new TV remote and our old cable box remote. The stand was easy to install and the TV is lightweight to place anywhere. Picture quality is fantastic. Sound quality and levels were not the best but acceptable.

Good color, nice menus, lightweight, audio is good. To offer critical information the screen is not as bright as I am used to. That could be because computer screens are very bright, more so than TV screens. It's adequate in all but dark movie scenes. Good for the price we paid. We won't spend thousands on tv.

Great TV for the price. Easy setup and nice picture. My one complaint is that it doesn't have the voice remote.

Upgraded from a much older Samsung that had limited smart tv channels, to this which gets just about everything. Nice not having to use a separate Roku attachment. It took a lot of playing around to get the picture to my liking. It came out of the box kind of dull and not nearly as bright as the 1080 HD it replaced. I expected 4K to be a much better picture, but it was not initially. I would say that I got it to equal the picture quality of the replaced tv, but certainly not better than. The sound is great and the volume is fine at very low settings. I imagine it could be turned up super loud with no distortion, but have not had any need to test that out. The menus on the screen are a bit confusing and it takes more time than I would like to get to a particular smart tv channel. For example, you first have to go to apps, then scroll down to the list, and then go through them to get to the one you want to watch. I was able to figure out how to set the tv to go right to HDMI that has my cable box every time I turn the tv on, regardless of what I was watching last. That helps a bit. Finally, the new remote that came with this tv is much simpler than the old remote. It doesn't have the numbers so you cannot key in a channel and have to use the remote from the cable box. Also, there is an option to use voice on the tv, but the remote does not have a voice function. But for the price, I guess maybe I was expecting too much. This is a fine basic low priced tv that should satisfy anyone's basic viewing needs. There are 3 HDMI ports which is also a plus, but no RCA jacks to plug in an old VCR or older DVD. I had assumed the cable input that takes coax would allow me to plug in the vcr,dvd player that way, but it didn't work. I had to use a newer blueray player that has HDMI in order to play DVDs. VHS will have to be used on an older tv. But like I said, for the price you can't go wrong. However, if you are looking for added features, I suggest doing a comparison with other models to make sure you get what you want.

I bought the Samsung 8000HF 43” a few weeks ago and I’m very happy with it so far. The picture is sharp, colors are bright, and streaming apps run smoothly. It was easy to set up and the design is slim and lightweight. The downsides: black levels aren’t the best and HDR isn’t very strong, so movies in dark rooms don’t look as good as they could. The remote is also small with tiny buttons, which takes some getting used to. Overall though, for everyday watching—shows, sports, and casual gaming—it’s an excellent TV for the price.

We have 3 other Samsung 43" TVs and we like them. We've had them for several years and they are holding up. This TV has a slightly better picture, but haven't had it but a few months. Our only complaint so far is the remote. Its not very intuitive and prefer the old style.

This TV have some pretty good features. The one thing that could be improved is the remote control and the instruction sheet. The remote is very narrow and take a little time to get accustom to. The instruction sheet should be in bold black print. You need a magnifying glass to read it. The picture quality is very good.

This TV is honestly a solid pick for a college student. The size hits a sweet spot, big enough to actually enjoy but not so massive that it feels out of place in a dorm or apartment. Picture quality is genuinely impressive for the price, and getting it up and running was pretty painless. The two knocks I'd give it are the Tizen OS and the speakers. The software lags more than it should on a TV at this price point, which gets old fast when you're just trying to switch apps, and the built-in audio is passable but nothing to write home about. That said, for what it is, it's hard to stay too upset about either of those things because the overall package is still really good value.

I use this as a large monitor for my PC. Actual computer monitors of the same size are way more expensive. TVs these days are now able to easily connect to PCs where in the past it was difficult if not impossible. This is not their top of the line for the size. This is an entry level for the size. The color and sharpness are good for the size and text looks good. ( which can be a problem using a TV as a monitor to view text ) In my opinion i feel that it looks good with everything i need it for on a PC. I am not a photographer so i don't need an ultra expensive monitor for photography work. I have yet to have any issues with it and am very happy thus far with this product. For the price you can't go wrong.

The picture quality that this display delivers is excellent, it's HDR ready, and is thin and light. Its also super convenient that it will automatically turn HDR on when the source is a game console or something like it. However, the TV home screen will usually default to Samsung TV, and it is super annoying to navigate the home menu at times to get to the source you need.

Only had 2 weeks, very good picture, am steaming tv with youtube tv and spectrum with no issues. Would have been 5 stars if they provided a usable remote, the samsung remote is useless. Two days after setup I ordered the One for All remote from best buy, not perfect but way better. You would think samsung could figure out they could make a few extra bucks by selling a remote that by the number of negative posts here, would sell well!

TV has been enjoyable. Was easy to set up and use. One problem we had was the remote. It is too small and all black which makes it difficult to use. We have trouble locating it but that is because we have several users and it gets lost!

I have 3 Samsung TVs. An older 50" curved one, a 65" 2023 model & this new 43" 2025 model. I put this one in my Dad's guest room for when I visit so I have't used it a lot but The picture is amazing & it connects super fast compared to the 65". I like how it has your settings & apps from other devices ready to go...it made the st up easy & fast. I like the Samsung brand. They are reliable & work well with Apple stuff but some are better than others. This one is better than the 65"& it's a great tv for the price.
