This TV is fantastic. Everyone that has seen it, even ones who initially hated curve TVs....now LOVE this TV! It is aesthetically pleasing hanging on the wall, but the picture is stunning. No one can believe the depth of black. The black produces NO color. The brightness of this TV is GREAT for bright rooms, no trouble seeing the TV.

While the picture is great, and getting around with the smart hub is easy, the smart hub has went blank on 2 occasions with in the first 2 weeks I had it. I've had it 3 weeks as of this review. The first time the smart hub didn't populate info. Geek squad came back out and reset the smart hub, and set it backup. The second time I called Samsung, and was advised to reset the smart hub, I explained that once that was done I would need help to set up the smart hub again as this was the second time and wasn't sure how to set it back up. So the Samsung agent ask me to unplug the TV and wait 30 - 40 seconds, as soon as I plugged it in the smart hub was back (that didn't work the first time for Geek Squad). The Samsung agent explanation was that its electronic (the TV) and they have glitches sometimes and that maybe I should just unplug and plug the TV once a week. WHAT. If this was a PC I'd say it had a bad hard drive, but may be it just needs and update pushed out, as i was told by a store employee that I wasn't the first person this has happened to. If it continues it goes back. To bad because when it works it great.

Amazing clarity and depth of vision gives me the feeling of being there. With the sound bar the feeling of being there is amplified! Old movies look so much better now and I see details I did not realize were there.

This 9800 is the one! I'm a 9000 series Samsung 4K TV fan, but HDR (high dynamic range) changed the game. For HDR, TVs must put out more nits (brightness) than in the past and this 2016 9800 really does. With anything made before 2016, you are probably not getting the full benefit of HDR and that includes even Samsung's top of the line 9000 sets. (For non-HDR 4K, they remain among the best.) Regrettably, Samsung dropped 3-D, but in al other respects this is the finest TV they have ever marketed. If you appreciate a stunning picture and a well crafted product that handles most current apps (there are a few exceptions) and most current UHD standards, you will regard this 2016 flagship model as money well spent!

The screen is beautiful. I mean really great. The blacks are black, contrast is really good. It's a fantastic TV from the screen standpoint. However, the new Tizen based apps are really buggy. They constantly stop working and you have to reset the TV to get them going again. Also the remote is Bluetooth and it looses pairing all the time. You have to constantly pain the remote over and over again. All in all, I'm happy with the TV but think the software problems should not be happening at this price point.

The Samsung 65" model 9800 is amazing! My family & I had a difficult path trying to replace our living room television. We formerly had a 60" Samsung flat model 8000. It had great features & a very nice picture. I just wanted to upgrade the television for that particular room. We decided on a Samsung 65" curve. We purchased a Samsung 9500 curve & that was nice but we had some glitches in it! Best Buy & Samsung provided us with a full in store return! We purchased a Sony 65" XBR65930; Beautiful picture but the remotes wouldn't sync or function my DirecTV! That wasn't cool! So, being an elite Best Buy member, they returned the Sony for a full in store refund! Finally, we purchased the Samsung 65" 9800 model! It was meant to be!!! The picture is amazing! My wife loves it! She now will watch television in our living room with my kids & myself! I finally got my family back! Thanks Samsung & the Green Bay, Wisconsin - Best Buy Staff!!!

Finally purchased my first 4K TV due to the high number of movies being released in 4K form. Use the TV everyday and still amazed at the high quality picture. Blacks are black and colors are vibrant.

While this TV broke the budget, I don't have one bit of buyers remorse a full month later. The picture is stunning whether it's regular cable, movies, or video games. I love the fast menu and ability to quick-connect any peripheral that all works with the included remote. You need this TV because it offers full array over the edge-lit models that are cheaper. It makes for the best picture you will find in this price range bar none. The only minor quibble is the small remote, while being slick for eliminating so many buttons, also has a directional ring that makes it easy to move to a selection other than your choice. No big deal and the strengths FAR outweigh this annoyance. Five full stars. (Be sure to search around for expert settings as these dial in the full performance it is capable of. Cheers!

I've had the TV for over a month now and am still impressed. Great picture quality and quick Smart TV functions for Hulu, Netwflix, etc. I wasn't sold on the curve, but have found that it does draw you into the picture - really digging it. Only unexpected downside I can think of is a bit of reflection on the screen from lights at night or windows during the day (compared to my ancient Sharp LCD). However, for the most part it is totally forgotten when I don't look for it and focus on the amazing picture.

I purchased this TV to replace a 2014 LG 65UB9500 that met an unfortunate end due to a VR mishap. The LG was a top of the line model for that year who's stand out feature for me was 3D support. This Samsung set completely blows that TV out of the water in every regard. The only shortcoming it has compared to my old TV is the lack of 3D. However, that is forgivable given the stellar image quality on hand. The blacks are surprisingly deep and rich for and LCD screen. At times it comes very very close to the look of an OLED screen. I would highly recommend this set.

Well until the next generation of TVs shows up and beside the OLED technology I think the Samsung 9000 Series SUHD is the best in the market now for price/quality criteria. The Sony Z9D is way overpriced and the difference in the picture quality cannot be differentiated by the naked human eye. Set side by side with the Samsung 9000 series there is absolutely no picture difference unless you have the vision of superman. with a good blue DVD or 4k movie from Direct TV or Netflix you are guaranteed a night out at the movie theater. Just get the popcorn ready and enjoy.

awesome tv with full array. great brightness and contrast which is important for the hdr experience. All in all great tv that brings the movie theater into my living room

The 2016 full array Samsung KS9800 easily equals the new 2017 edge-lit Samsung QLED models for a substantially less amount of money. Great blacks and stunning contrast with HDR10. The on-board apps also support 4K streaming with HDR10 from NetFlix, so at this time no need for a Roku Premiere+. If you can still find this curved panel, I highly recommend it.

This is the best TV on the market. I have had the Sony, Sharp and Vizio TV's in 75, 70 and 70 inchs. They do not come close to the picture quality or brightness of the Samsung KS9800. If you purchase the Samsung 9000 series TV, you will not regret the purchase at all.

An amazing TV - bought despite the one negative review. Clearly a firmware update fixed the lines described. Picture incredible. Connectivity excellent. One minor irritant is the if connecting tv to sound by fiber-optic cable, you cannot use tv remote to change volume - have to use sound remote. Rest of system and inbuilt software is great.

We were REALLY skeptical about buying this TV because we already had the Samsung UHD TV and we had little confidence that the picture would be that much different. We were blown away by the difference. Even watching satellite through it is incredibly different, and watching 4K movies or movies with the 4K blu-ray player are absolutely stunning!! We've had it for a month or two and we're still stunned every day by the fact that we feel like we're IN the movie, not just watching it. Definitely recommend this for anyone who wants the best picture available. We haven't played any x-box on it, but I can't even imagine what that would be like.

The picture is incredible and love the curve feature for the seating arrangement we have in our den. I have great wi-fi signal in the den but the TV buffers to the point that we are unable to use any of the apps (Netflix, Youtube, etc). I would not recommend buying this TV unless you plan to hard wire it to your network.

I still cant comprehend how amazing the quality of this TV is compared to my prior one. The curve is great and the viewing angles are very good.
