This TV represents a strange intersection of very nice and very disappointing. It makes a BEAUTIFUL picture... but only after calibration. Before calibration, the out-of-the-box defaults are a trippy, super-saturated fever dream of color. The spec on the Samsung site says it has an anti-reflective display. This is a dubious claim as the screen will diffract an arc of rainbows across the screen, sometimes multiple, for any light sources reflecting off the screen. Meaning, that despite this TV's commendable brightness, it is somewhat frustrating to watch in anything other than a dark room. And when in that dark room, the "non-locality" of the full array local dimming is equally, if not more frustrating. While I could be easily convinced that I haven't found the correct setting on this feature, the fact that I've tried and failed is possibly more disappointing. My 12 year old Samsung F6300 actually did a better job at not obviously blooming backlight despite the fact that it was always blooming backlight. In this case, the excellent contrast makes for a worse experience as anything bright has a pretty distinct halo around it. Oh, and the remote is so small that it spends 90% of the time in a couch cushion and I use my phone to control the TV. But, when you are in a dim room, watching some old sci-fi movie, this TV does a phenomenal job of upscaling to give you a great experience. Whatever that AI chip is doing, really works. Use calibrated movie mode *chef's kiss* The sound is decent on its own, good with a soundbar, and great with an Atmos sound bar. Once again, the Samsung integration is lovely. I know it sounds like I don't like the TV, but I do. However, at this price point, I'd probably recommend an OLED to eliminate the blooming or a Frame to eliminate the scattering pattern across the screen.

Was absolutely blown away by how the picture jump out of the screen. The colors so vibrant. The sound so great. What’s nice about this TV is the fact the inner workings are confined to the back of the TV. So really no heat is present in front.
