Tv had an issue on bottom left (crack) in screen so they are replacing it next week but it would not upload in the Smart hub very very frustrating - so frustrating that we are giving back the Samsung and getting the SONY Bravia OLED 77”. Lots of people online have issue with this SMART HUB on Samsung so I’m not dealing - it cost me another $800 to get to SONY but I want easy quick no issues —

Picture quality was good but nothing to write home about. HDR content was very bright. After less than 2 years I had a large half circle shaped area at the bottom of the screen burn out. It flashed so hot it blistered the outside of the panel. I suppose these things randomly happen sometimes and if I hadn't had a Geek Squad Protection plan I'm sure I would be muchore upset about it. Replaced with an LG C5 and couldn't be happier

I recently purchased this TV, which I returned after a week of extensive use and testing. Here's my breakdown of its pros and cons: Pros: Exceptional QD OLED Panel: The display quality is outstanding. At times, it's akin to looking directly into a flashlight due to its brightness. Vibrant Colors: Animation movies and 4K content look fantastic. I tested it with the Super Mario Brothers movie, and the colors, brightness, and contrast were impressive. Gamer-Friendly: The TV is equipped with four 120Hz inputs, making it a great choice for gamers. Cons: Poor Upscaling of Low-Resolution Content: The upscaling is overly aggressive, resulting in a loss of detail and subtlety, especially in faces and objects. Even with an Nvidia Shield Pro, the issue persisted. Samsung's upscaling technology falls short compared to Sony's XR.Samsung should have a setting to adjust the upscaling factor or turn it off and let the external devices do the upscaling like the nVidia Shield Pro for example. Inefficient Input Management: Despite having Anynet CEC, the TV struggled with managing various connected devices. It frequently failed to remember the correct device settings, leading to constant manual adjustments. Inconvenient Remote Design: The remote lacks a dedicated input button, forcing a cumbersome process to switch between devices. Additionally, it's not backlit, and the Quick Settings button becomes unresponsive during device switching. I did update all the firmware and apps to the latest version prior to using this TV,. After evaluating these aspects, I decided to switch to the Sony A80L, which excels in XR processing. It delivers more natural and lifelike images across all content types, from 4K to standard TV channels. The remote control is also great with backlit feature that lights up when you pick it up. In summary, this TV might be suitable for those who primarily play games or watch movies. However, for a more versatile viewing experience, I found the Sony model to be superior, despite its WOLED panel not being as bright as Samsung's. This review reflects my genuine experience, and I returned the TV mainly due to its frustrating user interface.

Do not connect this TV to WiFi. Leave it offline and connect a streaming device or don't buy it. The ads are so painful to deal with. PROS: Bright Audio is good Good Colors CONS: Tizan OS forces their TV service on you every freaking time you hit the home button. It's brutally PAINFUL. I can't live with this every day.

The online purchasing process was very smooth. I'd give it 5 stars if that was all I was reviewing. When I went to pick up my order, the person helping me required me to lift my own TV into my car. I have a very bad back and am a tiny person. I could not properly lift it, and it didn't even fit into my car. The customer should never be required to load their own stuff and the employee should be able to tell if an item will fit or not. He then took the TV back inside so that I could to get a truck to pick it up. When I went back to pick it up, it said it was already picked up. The employees fixed the issue and I was able to get the TV, but my son who picked it up in his car also had to basically load it himself as the employee offered very little assistance. The TV itself is great.

The jury is still out on this TV. It was $500 less than the LG C3 and the S90C but I am not sure the reduction in quality is going to be worth it. Great OLED picture but it is lacking in upscaling standard HD.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on your S89C TV’s image quality. The TV will upscale as best as possible any content sent to it. The closer your content is to 4K, the better the image will look on the screen.
Here are some tips to help improve the picture clarity:
1) HDMI cables are recommended for optimal HD viewing.
2) If you have an analog cable box or satellite box, upgrade to a digital cable box or satellite box.
3) Change the output resolution of your devices, such as digital broadcast receiver, IPTV, and set-top box to UHD or HD.
4) You can further adjust your sharpness, brightness, contrast, color, and more by going to Menu > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings
5) Choose a Picture Mode by going to Menu > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode and choose from Dynamic, Movie, or Filmmaker Mode.

Great service from Best Buy. But Samsung’s software is terrible. I only bought it because of how cheap it was on sale for. Don’t buy this full price. The software alone really kills this TV. Whoever at Samsung thought it was a good idea to load their TV’s with garbage Tizen OS and fill it with ads to slow that operating system even more should is a shmuck

I am very happy with how this tv looks - and sound is great with the added soundbar setup. What I am NOT happy about is that I think that this was an open box item but not sold as open box. This TV was either refurbished or an open box item as a different user had associated their account to the apps on the TV. I would give the tv 5 stars and Best Buy 2. I would recommend the TV but not Best Buy.

I switched from Sony to Samsung and immediately realized that Samsung isn’t showing true color. The pictures are bright and pleasant to look; but they aren’t real. Having said that one particular issue with this TV is the remote control. Either it doesn’t respond or if it does, skips keys . App constantly crashes as well.

Picture quality seems good but sound is quite weak. HDR movies on Netflix appear worse than regular HD movies. Replacing a LG OLED and would have to say I prefer LG.

This tv is stunning but does not handle eARC Atmos audio from an Xbox Series X to a sound system properly. There is a noticeable delay regardless of game mode on/off, and even with audio delay set to 0 and enabling passthrough on the TV. Great TV otherwise, but seriously reconsider if you plan to hook up an Xbox. Now I have to decide betweek returning this TV (inconvenient) or buying an AV receiver just to work around this major flaw.

SquanchyC137,
We appreciate your feedback on the lip sync issues you’re experiencing with your S89C TV. This could possibly be a source issue, but if you’re hearing an audio delay across all sources/channels and you have a receiver, soundbar, or other speakers connected to your TV, you can access the Audio Delay settings to increase the audio delay. Go to: Menu > Settings > All Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Output Audio Delay
Our 2023 TVs have an audio Pass-Through feature, which allows the audio signal to be sent out unprocessed to an external soundbar or receiver connected to the TV. The external device then processes the audio, thereby eliminating the added step of processing by the TV, which adds delay.
On your TV, go to: Menu > Settings > All Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Audio Output Format > Pass-Through
Please also be sure you’re running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.
If you’ve tried these steps and your issue persists, please contact us for troubleshooting and a Support agent will gladly assist. You can reach us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week. Or visit us on the Samsung website and click on the ‘Support’ link for:

Just had fhis tv delivered today. I was told that it is exactly as the s90c except for the stand. Not true. One problem I have is that there are very few controls to calibrate the TV the way you want. Very basic for such an expensive tv. . Not at all like the s90c. The picture is clear but it has unbelievable soap opera effect with no way to adjust it. My 10 year old plasma upscaled much better than this. Not very satisfied at all.
