Be careful. Got a green WD 240gb used in a factory sealed box. I should have checked the packaging better. I used a box knife to open it. I should have check the taped seal a little better. Lol. I shall be going to the store for swap out. Best Buy has excellent CS. Nobody's fault except the theif.

The claim that the 870 is faster might be true. My choice is the 860. I have had nothing but problems getting the 870 up and running. The Samsung data transfer program has failed EVERY time with the 870. Other software had to be used. Paragon did the job. I have many Samsung ssd drives, including the 850, 860, and now the 870. The 860 has worked flawless. The 870s have been a royal pain to get going.

I found when I A/B tested this with my Passport the passport provided the better sound in my streamer. I was very surprised by this. Tried other arrangements, then ultimately returned the SSD SATA since the Passport sounded better. It did take more space, but it was something I could live with.

I purchased this to upgrade a Sony Vaio laptop. The disk migration program did not transfer all of the partitions, resulting in a "No Operating System found" error message. After multiple attempts I gave up. This is a more expensive SSD and I should have saved money by buying a cheaper SSD, but I was hoping this would save me time. Instead I used hours more than expected. Disappointing.
