I bought this Samsung 990 EVO 1 TB SSD to upgrade my system, and it has completely exceeded expectations. The drive was easy to install and recognized instantly with no firmware issues. Transfer speeds are excellent—hovering right around the rated 5,000 MB/s—and my boot times and game load times have dropped dramatically. Even though it’s a Geek Squad Certified Refurbished unit, it looks and performs like new. The value is unbeatable for a Gen 5-ready drive at this price. I’ve used it for both gaming and large-file engineering projects, and it handles everything smoothly without overheating. If you’re looking for a fast, reliable SSD without spending top-tier prices, this is one of the smartest buys you can make. Highly recommend!

Performance from this particular SSD is unmatched in comparison to any other SSD I've used so far. Peak speeds can potentially reach higher than 1000mb/s and the boot time for Windows is plenty satisfactory as well. This storage device initially proposed an incredible value, however due to the recent price surge in all digital storage media, this device no longer advocates for such value (i bought it refurbished for $50, but new they're now seeing prices beyond $250+).

Just about brand new. Crystal Disk info had it at 100% best price you can get nowadays(11/14/2025) for a 1 TB m.2 drive.

Samsung SSD's are some of the best you can get in the consumer market. Reliable, quality drive here. Really as simple as that.
