[Employee of bestbuy] If you have a previous pair of Samsung Buds, you already know what you are getting into, if you don't keep reading. The Buds 3 have a very distinctive shape, that in my opinion, goes on the right direction, the triangular stems do facilitate swipe gestures but sacrifices the pinch by making it harder to keep steady while you do it. Audio quality along a Galaxy Device is really good, 8/10. Custom equalizer makes it shine tbh, people that buy this for sound mostly please do you research on how to reach your preferred sound profile to maximize this feature, trust me, it's worth the investment. Battery life is decent, bigger than my previous buds, by I am biased since I dont do long listening sessions. Case feels sturdy, very rigid, makes a nice clamp that hopefully doesn't softens up with time. My biggest surprise is how good the ANC is, IEMs are my preferred types of headphones, but since 3 Pros were pulled back I decided to give this a shot and boy I am not disappointed. Coming from XM5s and QC Ultra, this are very competitive on the field, but not as good due to design factor. Earbuds will never reach the same isolation as ANC, but this buds provide a more than solid experience avoiding noise. These are strong pair of earbuds the definitely outperform 95% of earbuds within the range, of course, in the right hands.

When I first got these earbuds I was super excited because I really wanted an earbud that fit an Apple Airpod but for Samsung. The redesigned Galaxy Buds3 is very similar to the Airpods 3rd gen in terms of shape, but I really like the stem controller better. Unfortunately the Galaxy Buds3 had 2 major downsides that are major factors in my decision return. 1. They don't have the ambient noise option that is included in the Buds 3 Pro version, which is a must for me because I use my earbuds at work and being able to hear various work-related notifications/conversations/etc. while still being able to listen to music is very important to me. 2. I have small ears (I have to use child-size in-ear hearing protection if I'm working in loud environments instead the regular sdult versions) and the Buds3 are just slightly too big for me to wear comfortably for more than 30 minutes at a time. It's also hard to keep them in my ears and I've had them fall out on more than one occasion if I turn or raise my headntoo fast. That being said, I really wanted to keep the Buds3 because the sound quality is better than the older Galaxy Buds I have and I found the touch gestures for the stems to be easy to learn/remember. The Galaxy Buds3 are a great addtion to the Samsung family, they just don't work for me specifically. Picture is of the right earbud for the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 (upper left) Apple Airpod 2nd gen (upper right), and Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro 1 (bottom center) for size comparison.

These are very good for what they are. For some reason, they have an ANC option in the wearable app, which is almost useless since these only sit in your instead of a seal with tips. These are clones of the original Airpods, not the pros, with better sound, app control, and enhancements. I guess Samsung finally conceded that having the mic ever so closer to your mouth makes for better sound call quality. I use these for work where I can have both in my ears but still need to hear when someone calls out to me. I prefer this to using the ambient noise software from the headphones that sometimes peak and screech in my ear when they hear loud sounds like the previous generation buds Pro 2. The sound is great, with good highs and mids, and surprisingly nice bass. They last pretty long, average 6-7 hours. I already dropped an earbud on concrete but there was not a scratch on them, so the finish seems durable. Overall good earbuds, the only weird thing is there is a learning curve in putting them back in the case. not sure if that's just me though. I traded in my buds 2 pro for a discount and am happy with the upgrade.

Let’s get this out of the way right at the beginning, I am going to be in that minority that does NOT like the airpod/stem style look and so I won’t be praising the look or redesign at all. I’m sorry, I just don’t like them and I use samsung products BECAUSE I don’t like the apple products. That said, I realize there is a big crowd of android users who wish they had apple stuff and that crowd seems to be the majority, so Samsung had to go after those users, I get it. Ok, with that disclosure out of the way, how do I feel about the new look buds3? I’m not totally sure yet. I mostly like them, they do all the main things I want from headphones, but also I struggle with things as simple as fit and sound quality. FIT: I have been looking for the best earbuds for years and still haven’t found any that fit comfortably in my weird shaped ears AND sound good AND check all the other boxes I want in headphones. These buds3 do come pretty darn close to be fair, but I was told if the foam tip styles are uncomfortable, I should try the open ear type like the buds3. Unfortunately, my left (smaller) ear still feels pain after just 15 minutes or so of wear. I haven’t been able to test the battery life of these yet because I can’t wear them for longer than about an hour before ear fatigue sets in and they start to feel hot and red and tender. Now, I am not docking points from these earbuds for bad fit because I am very aware my ears, especially my left, are …shall we say, “special” so if you don’t generally have an issue with fit or have large ear openings, you should be fine. I’m talking to the people with really small ear holes, unfortunately these will probably feel a little tight. I’m not sure if anyone other than sony is offering “XS” size tips but I hope that catches on. But unfortunately, despite not having tips, the buds3 still do not feel comfortable to me. Besides the bad fit in my left ear, they feel like they’re always about to slip out.But I have tested this by shaking my head all around and jumping and they wouldn’t even come a little loose, BUT they FEEL like they’re slipping. I haven’t tested it with a good sweat going, but I assume they may slip a little more than maybe? Sort of on the same lines as the fit, the “pinch controls” are actually a little annoying. I wish I had an option to use pinch or standard touch. My issue is, when you pinch to do anything, you end up moving the buds and they come loose and you have to readjust….every…time… Since my ears are a little weird, I had my wife put them in and tell me what she thought about the fit and the pinch controls and she ended up saying the same thing as me. First she said, “they feel like they’re about to fall out” so I made her jump around and then she realized they are actually staying put but when I told her to use the pinch controls she said it was kind of cool and unique but felt like they came out of her ears every time. So even with more normal ear holes, she noticed the same thing. SOUND QUALITY: So what about that sound quality? Well, if you’re after amazing sound stop reading this and go over to the buds3 pro listing and buy those. They definitely will sound better than these, however, that doesn’t mean these sound bad. For what they are, (open ear, single driver) they sound quite decent. They’re fine for everyday use, commuting, etc. They’re not going to be the buds you want on a plane with loud noises and hopes of drowning out everything while listening to the clearest sound ever. These are level 1 buds, you’re going to get to listen to your audio with a clean, surprisingly strong low end, slightly muddy mids sound. The average listener will not complain at all. The bass lovers tend to not care about clarity so they’ll be happy, but if you choose to use the EQ to dial in your favorite sound, you can get a pretty decent range of sound designs out of these buds. Again, for what they are, they’re actually pretty impressive. I was expecting worse. DESIGN AND FEATURES: There’s a surprising amount of features that samsung packed into the buds3 series, and they aren’t all useless! When I heard they had “voice control” options, I thought that was dumb and I wouldn’t use it, mostly because I wrongly assumed it would be a bixby thing and I don’t turn on or use any bixby stuff. (Maybe now is a good time to mention there is no google assistant support as of right now at release, it’s just bixby) BUT as I hinted at, the voice control option does not seem to require any bixby use. It’s just a slider in the app and if you turn it on, it starts working. I have only used this feature in quite controlled areas, but that’s partially because I haven’t been in a crowded room yet and also because when I AM in a crowded room, I won’t be saying “PLAY MUSIC” or “VOLUME UP” outloud to myself and receive weird looks. But using it in my office while working at the computer and typing away and just saying “next track” when the song I don’t really like came on was a form of power I haven’t had before. It also helps me with my complaint about the touch controls, who needs touch controls when you can just speak? …oh yeah…I do, when I’m in a crowded area, embarrassed to have a conversation with my earbuds in public. A few other features worth mentioning are the ability to choose which apps read notifications out loud when they come in, a reminder to stretch your neck if you’re hanging your head too long, and 360 audio, although I found the 360 audio to not work great in my early testing and the quality of sound just got worse. Speaking of, there’s an option to auto adjust sound based on how you’re wearing the buds; this is actually a very useful setting and, for me at least, added a lot to the low end when I turned it on. The overall design, despite being “airpod clones” is probably helping with the mic quality on calls and maybe connection strength, but since I have not actually been able to test the old “bean” shaped buds, I don’t know if these are better, same, or worse. I have heard others say these are more comfortable though for whatever that is worth. I just personally don’t love the look or design, I think any buds with stems look pretty lame and just goofy, but that’s my opinion and to be fair, no buds look “good”. One thing I do like is that samsung made the silver option so they don’t have to look EXACTLY the same, but for those looking over the fence longing for apple looks, the white pair will do you just fine. SETUP: Just a quick note on setup, if you have a samsung phone, it’s quite easy. Basically open the buds and your phone and you probably will see a connection, otherwise a simple bluetooth pairing and you’re off and running. The nice thing for samsung users if you already have the wear app on your phone, so you don’t need to go download another app. (Seriously, I have a folder with 6 apps in it JUST for earbuds.) If you have an android phone, it’ll be pretty easy still, with the same classic BT connection steps. I assume apple is the same but I don’t know. I was able to easily pair my buds3’s to my samsung flip4, google pixel 7a and windows pc very easily and just had to select them from the device I was using to have them pair back. The wear app is pretty basic and does what you need and if you have a watch or ring you already know how to use the app. OVERALL: So basically, I haven’t found the perfect buds for me yet, but these do serve a purpose and will definitely become my new daily easy grabber buds for out and about when I don’t need noise canceling and maybe when I don’t want to pack my very nice but very expensive headphones but still want something to use. Basically they’re going in my gym bag is what I’m saying. And that’s fine, they’re the perfect buds for it.

I like the on-ear design for buds where I am listening to music or watching video but want to be aware of what is going on around me. Walking the dog (or just me walking), around the house with people that I want to interact with, at work when it's OK to be using buds... I'm OK and understand that "open ear" will not give the best sound quality or really good ANC since they are "open"... no problems and with that in mind these are a comfortable fit, last a good long time on a charge, look cool, and pair easily with Samsung phone, laptops, tablets, desktops - anything Bluetooth pairs quickly and as with all multiple-device Bluetooth things you just have to keep up with what you want to actively pair with at a particular time. I was kind of shaky about the price, as these will only do so much being open-ear, but I have Samsung phone and watch, so wanted to "complete the set" with these buds to get the full benefit of the AI features that are coming out - particularly the translation features to use with my EL students in school. That is still a work in progress for those that wonder but a very promising application for the AI. Other coolness factor is being able to use verbal commands for sound and playlist and such.... the 'pinch' is still something I am learning to do correctly but doggone I can just very quietly speak and adjust the volume... that alone is a very high cool factor. If you are aware of the limits of open-ear buds and maybe also have a Samsung phone, these may well be worth the investment. Greetings from Central Georgia USA Banjo

Finally my wish has been granted! I always wanted a high-quality earbuds with stem and without silicon eartips for an android phone that reads out my notifications aloud and Samsung has done it. But did they do it right? Pairing: Its simply pairs with any bluetooth device but to use all the features we need to download the Samsung wear app. Its worth downloading the app as it offers many features and customization. Design & Comfort: Its obvious that Samsung Galaxy Buds 3’s design is inspired from Apple Air Pods 3. But I wish they took inspiration from Airpods 2’s design instead. Although, this is one of the most comfortable earbuds to use, it doesn’t always feel secured in the ears. I feel like it may fall off anytime and on few occasions it did too. Twisting it slightly upwards in the ears helps a tad with the fit but compromises on the comfort. Sound Quality: Though this does not have an earplug seal, the sound quality is good. Probably this is one of the best sounding stem earbuds without eartips. Gestures: The stem is being used for gestures. There is no tap, instead there is pinch and slide. Slide controls the volume – which is very intuitive and easy to use. On the other hand, pinch is counter-productive especially when I am on calls. Pinch can answer or end calls and while on a call, if I adjust the earbuds using the stem it pinches and ends the call. There is an option to turn it off. But that way I would not have any gesture option to answer/end call. I am having to adjust my finger positions to avoid pinching while on calls. Pinch can Play and pause video. Double pinch for next track and triple pinch for previous track. I wish they had a double pinch option for end call to avoid accidental disconnects. ANC: Without silicone eartips ANC is never great. Using while AC is on, I still hear it rumble but at a slightly less volume. Samsung could have dropped the ANC feature on this model and lowered the price instead. Battery: Battery is good. I could leave it in my ears all day to listen to notifications without having to take my phone out unless required. Answering calls every now and then and listening to music occasionally got me through for about 8 hours (100% to 15%) without ANC. In less than an hour inside the case, it charged to 100%. Call quality: There was no problem during the calls and my voice was loud and clear at the other end. Case: This comes with case that can be charged wireless or with USB-C. It can stand up-right which is slightly easier to pickup and comes with LED to indicate if it requires charging. It also comes with color coding The case feels premium. Features: Through Galaxy wear app, there are few extremely useful features. Notifications Read aloud Buds 3 can readout all notifications. There are options to choose the apps for which notifications should be read out loud; also there is an option to choose between read out full or just summary. Pinch and Hold is configurable to invoke Assistant / toggle ANC / spotify. Voice commands allow to “answer call” , “reject call” , “volume up” , “volume down” and play, stop the music and skip to next or previous song. This also have neck stretch reminder feature which will remind you to stretch your neck if you are looking down at the phone for more than 10 minutes. What Am I Missing? ---------------------------- The Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 offers lot more features only when used with compatible Samsung Phone (S23 series, Flip 5, Fold 5 and above). The key features we miss out on if we don’t have that phone are: Multipoint connectivity: Its most frustrating that I am not able to use this feature on my current device. For a buds at this price point, I would expect multi-point to be available. Translate: Using Galaxy AI, the phone can translate real time, If someone speaks Spanish you can hear in English. Real cool feature, but I couldn’t test it out. Overall I am happy that I got a good quality stem design earbuds without eartips which I can simply leave it on my ears for entire day. I only wish it was designed to fit a little better (like the airpods 2) and it at least offered bluetooth multipoint without the premium devices. I would recommend this product for anyone who likes a high quality stem design earbuds without silicon eartips.

I have used many types of earbuds over the years, but this was my first set from Samsung. I am a big fan of their craftsmanship in the electronics world so I was really looking forward to these. After using them for several days, my thoughts were mixed. Pros: - Set up was very easy. The Galaxy Wear app automatically detected the buds after I paired them to my phone. - Audio quality was excellent after making changes in the app's equalizer. The default bass is not high enough for me, but when I put the earbuds in the preset "Bass boost" mode, music sounded great. The default settings are great for listening to podcasts. You can use any of several presets or fine-tune as you wish with the equalizer. - The "Find my earbuds" function works well, but it will only work if the earbuds are connected to your device. So if they are in the case and you can't find it, you are out of luck. - The style and design of the earbuds and case seem very high-end. I appreciated that the lid of the case is see-through so you can tell if the earbuds are inside. Cons: - The Active Noise Canceling (ANC) feature was not useful to me. You can barely tell the difference when it is on or off because of the way these earbuds fit in your ear. There is not a tight seal. So if ANC is important to you, I would not suggest this model but look at the pro versions instead. - The touch controls were not intuitive. It took me longer than usual to get familiar with the controls (play/pause, adjust volume, etc). But the app does a good job with diagrams to help with this. - While the earbuds fit comfortably, they don't feel as secure as others I am used to. For instance, I would not use these to work out for fear of them falling out, but they would be fine with basic physical activity like taking a walk. In summary, these were good but not great. I'm sure I'll enjoy them for years as Samsung products are always high quality, but I also know that there are better products out there.

The Galaxy Buds 3 are good earbuds with many useful features such as noise-cancelling and 360-degree audio, providing an immersive experience for listening to music, watching videos, or playing games. Connecting the buds to your phone is simple - just open the case, press the button on the bottom to connect, and the setup is quick and easy. The mic quality is great for calls as it effectively isolates your voice from background noise. Unlike earlier Galaxy Bud designs, these earbuds have a stem design, and the case is more standard with a clear top to see your buds charging, which is a nice design choice. The audio quality is good, and there's a mixer available through the Samsung app. Additionally, the earbuds have a tracking function, making it easy to find them if dropped. The buds also have touch controls to change the volume, pause, skip tracks, and switch to noise cancelling with a long press. Overall, for the price, they are a great choice but for me I rather have some earbuds with different size tips for a better secure. I had to constantly re adjust these since they kept falling out.

These are the first galaxy earbuds i ever owned. Very nice audio quality with these. When i first started using them they had a very odd chemical or plastic smell coming from the tips of the earbuds where they go in your ear. I tried cleaning them with alcohol and water and it helped a little. After a few months now the smell is pretty much gone. Oh well, i hope its not harmful. Besides that, changing the volume is very convenient, just swipe your finger up and down along the stem of the earbud. Saves you from having to find the remote! Also has a not bad ANC feature, though not as strong as apples, still a nice thing to have on (double tap the earbud to turn it on or off). Also the earbuds are color coded so you know which one goes into the left or right slot.

The anc on it is decent considering they are open ear, however if you have small ears they hurt after a while. I was excited about the new design as samsungs earphones never fit me and caused discomfort so this new design similar to apples i figured would be great (I use second gen apple airpods as those fit me great no pain but die too quickly now and I just want samsung earphones as they sound and work great just don 't fit me.) So in short they are great but if you have small ears where apple airpods fit you best or those cause discomfort these earpods may not be ideal for daily or long use.

The design of the earbuds is good but different (the pointed edge design of the earbuds stems takes some getting used to if you're used to other earbuds with rounded stems). The fit is good, but they are not as loud as the Apple airpods3 or the Amazon Echo Buds that have similar designs (I have those other earbuds too). Overall a good product, and it's better if you have a Samsung phone to pair it with.

They sound solid but the design is a tiny bit slippery in the ears. Wearable app allows for so much more customization than the galaxy buds2pro. Much easier to wear than the galaxy buds2pro as they actually stay in my ears when I'm upright or moving around the house. Much better sound than the galaxy buds2pro. If you're debating on the galaxy buds2pro or these, choose these. Plus, they look a bit like jewelry if you get the silver ones.

This is great product, only con for me was the fit to my ears. Sounds odd, but it just didn’t compliment it in a way of staying in but I really loved the design, details, and quality of it a lot. So, I swapped for another Samsung Headphone that stays in my large ears lol.
