The good: this phone is compact, easily fitting in a pocket; the 50 mp camera is FAR better than the old 12 mp of previous generations, especially in low light; the inner display is bright and sharp, the outer display is very useful when answering calls/texts; the speakers are louder and clearer than last year's model; the battery life is noticeably improved from the Flip 4 and 5; the phone's 12 gb of RAM means the system and apps run smoothly, and the flat/textured frame allows for a much better grip than older versions; the hingle feels much more sturdy/holds in place better than the Flip 5. The bad: black or white aren't color options; the back of the Flip 6 is matte metal, like the Flip 4, a step town from the glossy finish of the Flip 5. Even with the addition of vapor cooling, this phone still runs pretty warm in summer, though not nearly as hot as the Flip 4s or 5s got. THE UGLY: This model has some SERIOUS manufacturing problems. (If you do an online search, there have been tens of thousands of complaints about this model.) After 4 months of normal use (NO DROPS, NO LIQUIDS, no gaming/heavy processing, kept in a case with a hinge cover), my inner/main screen would start responding slowly to touch, then not at all. Later that evening, the screen went black in the middle of a call. Tried to use a USB-C to HDMI/USB-A hub to connect to an external display, phone wouldn't output video or accept device input. Tried do a back-up of the phone with a laptop and another Samsung phone, but the USB-C port wouldn't transmit data So the USB port is malfunctioning too. Went to Samsung's website, which directed me to the nearest UBREAKIFIX store. The tech advisor said the issues is that the ribbon cable to the screen was mounted inside the hingle improperly, damaging the cable with every open/close and that the USB-C ports were defective. Unfortunately, since this is such a widespread problem, that this store, and all the other nearby locations, were out of the parts needed for the repair. (I live in a major metro area with a few dozen UBREAKIFIX locations, but none has the parts, it seems.) So after dropping a grand on a new phone, I'm back to using my previous one for the past 3 weeks. I've been using Samsung phone almost exclusively for the past 15 years, including the Flip 4 and Flip 5, and NEVER had an issue with any of them. I'm VERY disappointed in Samsung, especially since the Flip 6s are made in South Korea, their home country. Where's the quality control? They'd better not try to charge me $300 to fix their obvious manufacturing defects (as some people online have mentioned) or this will be the LAST Samsung product I EVER buy!

I've owned my Z flip 6 for two weeks and am already returning it due to a defect. The hinge or screen keeps making a clicking/sticky sound when I unfold it fresh out the box. I don't want to risk holding onto the device beyond the return window and can only imagine how much worse this will get after 2-6 months. (or after 1 year warranty is over) I called a nearby Samsung authorized repair store and they assured me they could fix whatever it was under warranty, but I didn't want to go through that hassle with a brand new phone. If you purchase this, try calling your nearby repair store and pick their brain about the durability. They've seen first-hand what to look out for, what breaks, etc. Do your online research too. In closing, Samsung needs to back their durability claims if they want consumers to be confident in this VERY EXPENSIVE purchase. There's a reason these depreciate so much after purchase. Extend the warranty to 2 years. Include Samsung Care for free. Anything to help make us feel like this device will last. I'm giving up on my hopes to own a flip phone for now.

Purchased this phone as I’m partial to the new flip phones. Had a bad experience with a moto flip phone so figured we’d try Samsung. The phone was great til one day we were on a roadtrip and the inner screen stopped responding to touch. It was fine most of the trip, till we were almost to our destination. Upon our last stop we needed to google something and the center screen was no longer functional out of nowhere. The front screen still worked fine so any widgets were still functional. I also know someone who has one of these and has loved it. If you want to run the risk, I do recommend making sure you set up your voice commands as had we done that the phone would have retained some more functionality.

Esthetically pleasing ans cute. Camera quality is not great. Not sure if that bc i was coming from a s23 ultra but it didnt not compare. The front screen was limited and crashed often. The fold screen was okay but since its a plastic tonfold it felt cheap and not sturdy. Did not keep the phone at the end and returned back to the s23 ultra

Fun to use for just under 6 months then main screen just went dark. I can only use the outer small half screen which means I'm limited to the widgets I had set up when I first got it. I should've set up a lot more! Since I bought the warranty from Best Buy, I'm hopeful that they'll help make it right.

I returned. I like the size and style, but it was freezing. I know its a minor thing, but too expensive for it to not be working smoothly. I didnt want to bother with tech support as i was so disappointed. I also noticed the battery life was not the best. I switched to the s24 ultra and love it
