  • Features
    • Hard Food Disposer: false (This feature has blades to chop and disintegrate hard food particles, making them small enough to easily drain away. This prevents them from being recirculated back onto dishware and allows for easy maintenance.)
    • Drying Method: Heated drying (Appliances that use heat to dry the dishes will include a heating element or minerals which transform moisture into heat. A fan or vent then circulates the hot dry air throughout the tub during the drying cycle. This may reduce drying time and the risk of water spots. Appliances that use minerals to produce heat are considered more energy efficient than those that include a heating element. Appliances that use condensation drying are considered more energy efficient than those that use heated drying. Instead, high temperature water is produced during the final rinse cycle which warms the interior and eventually condensates and drains out of the machine.)

Q: does this dishwasher have a drying cycle? why does door open automatically ?

A: I was skeptical about this whole "door opening thing", too. And I purchased this, expecting to hate it... but I absolutely love this Samsung DW. Since there isn't a heating element, a fan goes on near the end of the washing cycle when the door opens just a bit, allowing the condensation to escape. And no... your kitchen won't get steamy, in fact it's so quiet and minimal you won't even notice (unless you happen to spy it in action). The 3rd top drawer is a wonderful attribute, too. Your silverware will come out sparking every time.
