This device sold by Best But is either defective, or designed not to fit into my Samsung 28" TV. Every other UsB device fits into my Samsung TV without any problem.

This review is for SanDisk, and not Best Buy. I bought this because it says quite clearly on the package, "USB 2.0/3.0 compatible". So I figured it was a 3.0. Well, no. It's only a 2.0. I wanted a 3.0, which I could have gotten for only $3 more.... Their packaging on this is VERY misleading. Now I have to go back to the store and get the one I thought I had already bought. =(

Well, this is a first for me. Best Buy has been good about mailing products to me. Last month, I ordered a total of 3 San Disk flash drives for my personal use. All were delivered just fine, but the 128GB version was dead right out of the package. Could not revive with San Disk support help. Am initiating a mail return for this defective item. Can't say how it performs....Sorry...things do happen...PS. The other two flash drives were plug and play, no issues....Just saying...

We're sorry to hear that the drive arrived non-functional, and we appreciate you giving others a try. Since you've already initiated a return through BestBuy, they'll be able to replace it. If you need help choosing the right drive or want step-by-step assistance with any SanDisk product, feel free to reach us at: https://support-en.sandisk.com/app/askweb <img src="https://s3.amazonaws.com/stratos-logos/logos/SanDiskConnections.png" alt="SanDiskConnections" title="SanDiskConnections" style="display: block !important; margin-top: 2em !important; border: 1px solid #ccc !important; padding: 2px !important; background-color: white !important;" />
After 3 weeks of using all of the sudden it would not plug into any USB port...checked end of thumbdrive and instead of seeing half of the plug open and half filled it was totally filled. Apparently a piece that was supposed to stay retracted when the plug was extended to insert in a usb port was now permanently extended not allowing the drive to plug into any usb. Contacted Sandisk and all they said was give me a link to a company that could recover the data......FOR $400 !!!!!!!! Which of course sandisk said they are not liable for....figures. Poor product, poor customer support.....

I bought a new [SanDisk - Cruzer Glide 128GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive - Black]. It didn't give me any proper response on several of my computers and on a LG Smart TV. I tried many times but all I had got were the notifications saying that a new USB massive storage device was plugged in, and when trying to access the disk, there were only time-out messages while the blue indicator light in the USB flash drive was flashing on and off every 4 seconds approximately. Finally on the next day, I returned the item to the store where I picked it up. After the returning, I bought a 64-GB Micro SD card with a USB adapter, at $29.99. Micro SD cards are more reliable than USB flash drives in my experience. Now I am happy with the Micro SD card + adapter on the TV.

The price for this drive was phenomenal but my success getting my computer to recognize it has been anything but phenomenol. However since it did work initially I haven't given up hope and will attempt to access it via different computers. I wouldn't blame Best Buy unless several more encounter the same problem.

Within a month of using the flash drive it stop working. I could not use it from there on. A friend of mine help me by rescuing the information. He said that the usb was an inferior product. I felt taken for a ride. You already have a photo of the item in question. Thank you very much.

I tried it in several computers and I could not get it to read or transfer files to. I made sure it was a 2.0 vs 3.0 because I have had problems with 3.0's in the past. Great Price but didn't work.

Thanks for sharing your feedback. Performance can depend on the host device and file type. Try using a different computer or USB port. You can also try formatting the drive(note: ensure to back up your data before formatting). You may refer to this article for the steps on how to format it: https://support-en.sandisk.com/app/answers/detailweb/a_id/20821. Let us know if you need help. I will never buy this type of thumb drives again that slides up and down. The end part that goes into the computer bends easily and I am afraid I am going to lose all of my data. I think the LEXAR brand is better.

I took my computer in for service and backed up YEARS worth of photos to this thumbdrive. IT FAILED! I retrieved about 15% of my photos and now it says it isn't there, or it can't transfer if it does find files. I am very upset about it. Thumbdrives should never be considered a backup. Now, does anyone know of a good program to try to retrieve the files?

The first time I use it. It opens a new drive to put pictures and stuff in blah blah blah. But then I unplugged it only for it to have the drive still burned on to my computer.

After saving 25 pictures to this flash drive it could no longer be recognized by any pc and could not be recovered. Best Buy refused to issue a refund or replace the flash drive because it had been purchased more than 14 days ago!

Purchased at one store, directed to p/u at another 8 miles away, waited in p/u line w/ 20 people ahead, get finally to counter then told hasn't been picked yet. Waited again in line then told it was out of stock even though computer said they had 2. Then manager offered another model, which was a step down yet $100 more in price. Deducted $50 finally and yet still $50 more in price. Experience was so bad that finally decided to take the laptop back tomorrow, get my money back and go to a different store to buy. First store was the one in Towson, second was the store in Owings Mills, Maryland.

Have used many Scandisk flash drives, but this one didn't work. I didn't open it for a month because I was waiting to use it when I download Windows 10. I delayed the Windows install, so I could get all the workarounds for all the stuff I don't like about Win10. It has taken longer than the Best Buy 15 day return policy limit, but I am driving an hour to the store tomorrow to state my case. I'm sure they will understand ... since it is defective. Sandisk Cruisers have always been my favorites, so I hope they will replace this one 'cause I'm ready for Windows 10!

Would give 0 stars if I could. Geek Squad returned flash drive with pictures that don’t belong to me. Family vacations, weddings, pictures of my granddaughter are gone. Called & spoke to Kevin, Fashion Center, Paramus, NJ, told me I must have done something wrong. A lot of political pictures & garbage that don’t belong to me.

I really thought this would turn out better, but it really is not a good flash drive at all. 5MB read speed on jump drive that was made in 2017 is unacceptable to me. The plastic body is also cheaply made. The usb plug goes in and out of the body, but it would get stuck while retracting. So you would have to wiggle the button to get it to retract. Even though for 128gb it’s cheap, you get what you pay for.
