I bought this for $20 on Black Friday. It functions as designed (as far as I can tell), but USB 2.0 is too slow to fill 128GB. It was formatted as FAT32, which has a 4gb file size limit. I reformatted to NTFS, and it took 5 hours. Formatting should not take that long. I used FreeFileSync to synchronize/write 47gb to the Cruzer, and it took 3 hours, 8 minutes, averaging under 5MB/sec, with FreeFileSync periodically becoming non-responsive (wait it out; I didn't have to do anything to make it work again). To test read speeds, I copied 6.47GB of songs from the Cruzer to my hard drive in 5 min, 40 sec, averaging ~20MB/sec. Next, I copied 11.4GB (a mixture of large and small files), in 9 min, 50 sec, averaging ~20MB/sec. I like that it is very small compared to a portable hard drive. It may turn out to be fast enough to sync small changes, but you'll be waiting a *long* time if large files regularly change (like Outlook .pst), or if you regularly add large video files.

1. The Sandisc Cruzer Glide 128GB Flash Drive I bought is very slow. I've never experienced any type of drive this slow. 2. The encryption 'Safe' is not user friendly. To work on any file in the safe, you must remove it from the save to another location. Bad... I see no reason why one shouldn't be able to work on a file in the safe as long as you've gained ligitimate access to the safe via passwork. 3. I own a number of Sandisc flash drives which have superior performance, but the 128GB 2.0 just plain sucks in performance.

This flash drive looks very nice but when I have inserted it into more than one PC and errors pop upon multiple occasions. That slows me down when I'm trying to complete a task or just get information off of it. The purpose is for me to be able to use this flash drive for its convenience in size of the unit to the amount memory. Taking it back. Might have gotten that bad apple of the bunch.

I purchased the Cruzer Glide 128GB for its capacity. The password protection software functions as advertised...and data can be stored on the Cruzer in both protected and unprotected modes. Software that comes with the drive to allow backup on the web is no longer functional.

purchase was my fault! didnt notice the 2.0 vs 3.0. copy/write time is at a walkers pace. to the best of my knowledge, best buys ad didnt list the 3.0 option, which i believe, after an already used item, was like a few $'s more. splurge & get the 3.0. here, speed matters.

This flash drive was to large for what I needed. I had to return it and get a smaller one. I also had to get a 2.0 USB flash drive. Not sure about the backwards compatibility on this flash drive.

Don't waste your money on the brand name Sandisk...they are all the same out there even though some say that is not true. Buy the PNY, it seems to work just as well.

I purchased a VIZIO TV from Best buy with a USB port. Neither Best Buy nor Vizio had the maximum size USB drive specification for my TV. Best Buy and Vizio provided conflicting USB Gigabyte sizes that were guesses and recommendations. So far this drive is working in my TV. I will continue to add files and determine if the TV still reads the USB drive. Since Vizio abd Best Buy could not provide the max size I have to experiment buy purchasing a drive and testing campatibilty with the TV.

I bought this for my PS4 because it says 2.0/3.0 but it is not 3.0 at all so it did not work

I had to return this item because it was so cheaply made that it broke within 24 hrs of getting it offline....however please read further on my review of the Sandisk 3.0 flash drive USB Drive, because the customer service was great when I returned the first one and got the second one, latter mentioned.

I've bought this on Black Friday 15' and I haven't been able to get into my jump drive because of that stupid password. I have no access too all of my 30+ thousand pictures. I thought this jump drive would help me but instead it hurt me. I you purchase it, just remember your password if not you'll have to erase everything on your jump drive to use it again.

I suggest reformatting SanDisk Cruzer Glide flash drives before using them.

Good size and price but the compatibility with some of my devices is bad.

I bought one to my dad as a gift. He told me it is kinda slow. He just saved a few small video files to it. But it took him almost 45mins.

It's a flash drive, It's fairly cheap... which is why it probably is built the way it is... The sliding mechanism is very loose, and does not lock in place... so it kind of is a pain to store this flash drive or keep it plugged in.

Cheap and expensive!! The plastic casing is very thin and fragile.

It took me several tries over a period of days to get my HP 6140 PC running Windows 7 to recognize it. I am not sure what actually fixed the problem.
