This is great to have as a "just in case" storage solution, but it can take a while to transfer files. Read and write speeds are ... well USB 2.0 slow. I bought this because in store I looked at the packaging and it led me to believe that it was USB 3.0. This was because it has USB 2.0/3.0 compatible on the front. I assumed it was USB 3.0 because I know they are backwards compatible and nowhere did it clearly state it was a USB 2.0 drive. Now that I am taking a picture of the front, I flipped it over and on the back really small it says USB 2.0 Drive. I am returning this one to get the USB 3.0 version, but for those who just need to keep documents and small files it is great. For me, I am a photographer and have hi-res files where I move GBs at a time which can take a while at USB 2.0 speeds. Nothing wrong with it, just doesn't work for my needs and it may work for you. But for an extra $10 why not upgrade and be future ready. I would chalk it up to buyer error due to misleading packaging, otherwise great value.

It Works fine. Wish it was 3.0/2.0 and not made out of cheap plastic.

This is one of the more common USB flash drives you will find. I prefer the ones with a top but it's hard to find that much variety in flash drives anymore.

I didn't notice that this was a USB 2.0 stick. Seriously! With that much storage, USB 3.0 should be considered essential. But, if you are moving small files or small batches of files at a time, this is a great USB stick for the price.

This flash drive does the job and stores a ton of files. It is an easy plug-and-play device, and the security password feature is a bonus. However, I would not recommend using it for photos. I have tens-of-thousands of photos on my laptop that I wanted to back up on this flash drive. Once all the photos were copied, you cannot see thumbnails or preview images for any photos from the flash drive folders; you can only see file names, which makes is very inconvenient to view and locate photos you want on the flash drive.

I was not notified that the new laptop, I brought in, had much less storage, to transfer the hard drive info to, on the new one I brought in, until I came in, to pick them up, and found out I had to purchase this item. The laptop was a gift. Mike was great.

I don't like the "Glide" design. I find that they're sometimes an interference fit with the USB socket or with other devices if you're trying to plug them in next to it. Having said that, though, sometimes you can find this 128GB model for a really cheap price. I've gotten a couple of these, but only when they're on sale - otherwise it's not worth the trouble.

I liked the storage space for the price. However, I like to carry it on my key chain and the USB pops out all the time. There was really no point to have it slide in at all since even a light shake would slide it out.

I have quite a few of these and they all seem to work well bought this one as a back up because Best Buy had a great price on it. It fits anywhere and holds a lot of media. and it is very easy to use. It works very fast. It's great...

Nice to have that much storage in a small device. I got it to carry extra music and/or videos for my camper. The installed proprietary software can conflict with some devices but it’s easy to remove

This is a great value, lots of memory for a great price, especially on Black Friday deal. It's one problem is that it is very slow, so using all of that memory is a test of patience.

Great drive, SanDisk drives have always been reliable for me, the capacity is great, but if your computer has USB 3.0 slots, upgrade to a 3.0 drive.

Does the job of holding files, a bit outdated with USB 3.0 becoming more widespread; slightly confusing packaging as it says USB 2.0/3/0 compatible.

I buy a lot of flash drives, so I'm pretty familiar with most of their limitations and what separates a good one from a bad one. Before I purchased this drive, I read as many reviews about it that I could. I was fully aware that this and many similar drives tend to move slowly. But... this think is really slow. I mean, I feel like I'm back in the stone age when I try to copy files to it. Other than that, it has performed predictably and reliably. Just be prepared to give yourself enough time when moving large files to this drive.

This drive has worked flawlessly. I reformatted it to exFAT so I could store lager files. I don't know why these drive are formatted for FAT 32. It does everything you would expect a flash drive to do. It has an enormous amount of room to store large files. The only thing I can really fault it for is the write speeds. If you are working with large files, it takes some time to save them. It is typical of most 2.0 flash drives. If I had the chance, I would opt for the 3.0 version of this drive.

The USB is very difficult to slide into the USB slot on my printer. I have to push it very hard which is hard to do and I am afraid over time I will damage the USB or my printer USB slot. Once in, it does do it's job. This does not seem typical of other USB sticks I've used, including other cruzers. So perhaps this one is defective.

We are sorry to hear about the difficulty inserting the drive into your printer. While a snug fit is normal, excessive fore should not be required. If the issue persists, we recommend testing it on another device or contacting our support team for assistance or a replacement. I haven't used it much, but it works as is expected from a thumbdrive. I bought it because of the capacity and sale price. hard to pass up. Sandisk makes good products. I own several between thumb drives and SD cards. There's some neat software included, but I typically don't find myself using it. What would be nice if they could figure out how to reduce the amount of space used for overhead.
It glides in & stored stuff. Got a good price for it.

It does the job, but slow write speed at USB 2.0. The slow speed is okay for documents and small files but too slow for my large gigabyte files such as videos. Best feature that I really love is the "SecureAccess" which provides password protection to keep my private files secure -- that's the main reason why I bought it.
