This is great for storage, but FYI you don't get the same number of gigs on the package due to calculations. it's great for put files onto other PC and it seems very fast so I would go out and buy this so you can have extra space for projects and other mater if you need extra space for your laptops.

The biggest issue that I ran into with this drive was how long it took to be registered by a computer and how slow it was for copying data. I tried this on multiple computers, so I don't believe it was a problem with the computer running slow. Otherwise, it works perfectly fine once the data is actually on there

I've tried it on 2 computers. Write speeds on a large file are maxing out at around 15 MB/s. Note that with less then 1 gb it seems faster. It's probably using an internal buffer. Yes, I still recommend it. It's large and was cheap. You just have to know what you're getting. It is tacky that the product page only lists the read speed.

Great while it lasted, fast with a lot of storage space. I bought this July 4, 2016, but it is now the end of April 2017 and my USB flash drive has stopped working; I tried it on four different devices and nothing. It lasted less than a year. I did use this a lot though, storing videos and accessing them 2 or 3 times a week. Lesson: make sure anything put on a flash drive has a backup.

Havent quite figured out how to backup my os, but the pin is quite helpful and the transfer if relatively reliable. Good back up device, however the pin becomes somewhat of a nuisance, logging in and of all the time to back up. Also if you forget the pin, unfortunately your best bet is to factory reset.

This drive is slower than SanDisk drives I have purchased in the past. Took over 8 minutes to transfer 2.5GB of data on a USB 3.0 port. Also the drive was very warm when I unplugged it after 10 minutes use.

This thumb drive is electronically very good however it comes formatted with FAT32. The consequence- it only allows 4 Gbyte per file. It is simple to re-format however it puzzles me why this large capacity thumb drive would be formatted with this old format.

Please allow me to inform you that FAT32 file system does not allow you to transfer files larger than 3.99GB. In this case I would suggest you to format this USB Drive in exFAT file system. Please refer to the below mentioned link to know more:

Was looking for a large capacity flash drive to hold alot of movies, which I plug into an HDMI media player. This has a large capacity and read speeds are ok, but write speeds aren't that great. Will take a while to move things over. Other than that, works ok.

Great storage capacity for the price but it is not very well constructed. It is made of thin plastic. In fact, a piece of it was already chipped off when opening. I would not recommend this if you need a rugged flash drive.
