Perfect add-on to my Mac Mini!
I bought 2 of these to add onto my Mac Mini M1. This offers the expanded Thunderbolts that I need. Took it from 2 to 6 Thunderbolts and adds a USB 3.2 option also. I have 51TB worth of storage that runs amazing. Well done Satechi!

It works like a charm for my mac mini2 and also works great with windows laptop, streaming to 3 of 4K monitors

Fast performance in a slim body!!
Pretty much all the new laptops suffer with the problem of not having enough ports to connect peripherals. As a result, these kind of hubs have become a necessity. But finding the right one is no easy task. I have tried many and have been disappointed due to one issue or another. Here comes the new hub from Satechi and boy, it works!! This so far has been the easiest hub setup that I have worked with and the performance, oh my (more on that later)! The hub is made of aluminium and has a slim, sleek design with matte grey finish. It doesn't take much desk space. One slight disappointment is the power adapter that comes with it. It is bulky and makes the hub not all that portable. There are 3 thunderbolt 4 (TB4) ports on the back and one TB4 port on the front along with a USB-A port (10 Gbps). The front TB4 port can be used only for receiving power and data. It has a bandwidth of up to 40 Gbps. The TB4 ports on the back allow daisy chaining and you can connect up to 6 devices in total. As TB4 provides bandwidth of up to 40 Gbps, the performance of this small hub is super fast. I have been able to connect 2 4K monitors and an external SSD drive. The real fun part is when you can move large files (~10 GB in my case) in few seconds! So overall, if you are looking for a hub to make up for the lack of ports in your laptop, you should definitely consider this one. The price is right and it works really well.
