Once installed, this is a very useful item. I like how the arm extends and retracts so that you can adjust the height and forwardness of your phone on the dashboard. The main problem I have with this product is that the adhesive and the technology of using pressure suction just doesn’t do a good job of keeping this fixed to the dashboard; one good jolt, and the whole assembly comes off, and your phone falls into your lap at the most distracting moment. To the window it might work, but my experience with similar products has been that suction based technology is it going to stand up to the usual shaking of a car. What I ended up doing for mine was contact cementing the base to the dash so that it doesn’t fall off during driving. what you do is up to you.
