Scrooge is a great holiday family classic that has been warming hearts for many years.

Am a big Christmas Carol fan over the holidays. Great to watch when not having alot of time to view because the view time is about half of what the other versions are. Shows great contrast between film making in the 1930's to the modern era, and makes it enjoyable.

This is the Seymour Hicks version, made in 1935--before the better-known Reginald Owen and Alastair Sim versions. The good news is that for some people (including me), even mediocre colorization is better than stark black-and-white. The bad news is that this is the shortened 63-minute version instead of the 78-minute original. Thus, this is worth a bargain-basement price, but no more than that.

This is one of the shortest versions but worth adding to your collection.

This is a great movie for people of all ages and definitely recommend it.

Original Scrooge copy is good viewing Holiday DVD.
