A: It's because Macintosh uses a different file storage system than Windows computers. This drive is pre-formatted to work out of the box for windows computers, thus it won't have full compatibility with your Mac out of the box. I use my drive for both my windows and mac computers, but I had to divide it into two different file partitions.
Q: Can this be used with laptop that you would dock and undock often?
A: Absolutely.
Q: Is it durable enough to where nothing happens when it drops from 2ft to the ground?
A: I'm not even durable when I drop two feet to the ground.
Q: Is it only for back up or can I save game files on it And always have access to them
A: I don’t know if you are speaking of executable files and I don’t know I have not tried to use it in that why. I save photos and videos to it and then have access. I treat it just like an extra hard drive. I download files from the internet to it. I actually do not use it as a back up
A: Just plug it into you USB port on your computer and it'll act just like your internal hard drive, just a bit slower.
Q: CAN THIS BE USED WITH A LAPTOP?
A: Yes. This device is well behaved and I have experienced no connection issues with it. I have connected it to computers and laptops. It behaves like any other USB hard drive.
Q: Since it has 2 USBs would it be possible to daisy Chain another hard drive to it
A: Yes I have two of these I have them plugged into a USB3 Hub, but unplugged one and daisy chained from the other. seems to work fine.
