Dill Waters Run Steep is former Cold Coffee and Lost Pilots guitarist Sean Dillman's first full-length solo album, featuring songs ranging from minimalist arrangement (inspired by Johnny Thunders' InchHurt MeInch) to multi-track productions. Dillman sings all vocal parts, and plays 6 and 12-string acoustic guitars, electric guitar, electric bass, piano, and mandolin. Upright bass is also provided by Eric Youngling. Described as Inchethereal and truly originalInch by Metronome Magazine, Dill Waters Run Steep deals with themes of longing and , alienation and reconciliation, hope and dispair, and pays tribute to some of Dillman's favorite artists, from The Bevis Frond and the Clancy Brothers, to Leo Kottke and John Fahey (to whom the album his dedicated). Based on response to the album, Dillman now focuses heavily on acoustic music. Working with Berklee College of Music graduate and former professional recording engineer Heede, he plans to produce similar recordings in the future, and to bring the live act to a town near you.
