The Sennheiser Accentum Open appealed to me simply because of the name associated with them. Sennheiser is known for making quality audio devices, specifically for audiophiles. So when I saw they were making an open ear pod I was intrigued. But unfortunately I can't say that these are worthy of the name. The build quality on these is a mixed back. The actual ear pods aren't bad. They are sturdy feeling, easy to clean due to the lack of crevices and odd cuts, but the carrying case feels really cheap. The hinge has a range when its open that has no stability to it causing it to flap when open. It also has a gap between the lid and case when closed which will lead to debris getting into the case if you carry it around in your pocket or in dirty environments. The fitment on these was also very bad for me. They are extremely uncomfortable in my ears after simply 10 minutes. I've had five sets of ear pods now and these are by far the most uncomfortable. The audio quality is also not so great. They don't get very loud and the sound is pretty off between 70-100% volume. The mic quality was decent, but not what I would consider crystal clear. Battery life I can't really attest to as I couldn't use them very long due to how uncomfortable they are. There is no associated software to be installed with these ear pods. I was a bit shocked when I found out that their existing software didn't work with these, and further shocked to learn there was no active noise canceling either. So you're simply stuck with the out of the box sound and no over the air updates to hopefully fix the sound issue.

Not what I was hoping for. I was in the market for so new ear buds and came across these. Small compact, wireless earbuds, that fit in the ear. These are supposed to be on the higher end of your everyday average earbud and honestly they’re just so so. I was kinda disappointed. I have still yet been able to connect them with the app so I can personalize the EQ and other features, the Bluetooth range is horrible in comparison to other brands I own. I typically leave my phone on my toolbox and move around the shop throughout the day, Other brands I am able to get 30 plus feet away from my phone and have no connection issues. With these I get about 10 feet and begin to have connectivity issues. Which is frustrating when you’re in the middle of a good song or important phone call. But there is some good things i do like about them. First they are pretty comfortable for an in ear style earbud. The sound quality is fairly decent( would probably be better if i could connect to the app and adjust some EQ settings). Phone call quality is great. The tap style controls work well. Battery life is decent. The case/charger is compact and fits in your pocket well, the lid on it feels a bit cheap. But all said the connectivity issues and not being able to use the app to adjust settings is what kills these for me. I’m sure some of these issues could be fixed with a firmware update but for an out of the package earbud i expected more for the price point.
