I have been a long time fan of Sennheiser products and i was so excited for this soundbar. Absolutley stunning piece of hardware that produces such amazing sound. The sound engineering really shows. I set it up with my new LG OLED C4 77” TV and the set up process was quick and easy and i also added a Sennheiser wired sub, but the main problem was with the HDMI eARC. When the TV is turned off, the soundbar automatically turns off and then lets say you turn the TV ON again after about 10-12 hours, the soundbar goes into a standby state with white LED continuously blinking and does not respond to remote control or any other action. The only way to get it working again is through a power cycle. This was exteremely annoying to repeat this process everyday. So after about a few days, having tried everything changed to multiple expensive HDMI cables, updated firmware, full system reset, etc. I returned the product hastily. After a good deal of research, I narrowed by choice for a new soundbar to the Sonos system, including the Arc, Sub, and rear surrounds; and the Sennheiser Ambeo. The deciding factor was the Ambeo being an all-in-one option. My wife is a bit of a minimalist, and I knew she would appreciate not having the additional sub, and surrounds around my living room. The Ambeo was easy to setup initially. I watched a movie with Dolby Atmos, and the sound was very good. Right away, though, I noticed a humming coming from left side of the product. Listening closer, there was also a slight crackling sound in the left upward firing speaker. I thought that I would do a factory reset. This didn't go well. I was not able to reconnect to either the app, or Google Home, Worse than that was that the sounds persisted. Trying to call Sennheiser Customer Service was a complete waste of time. So, I returned it to Best Buy, and tried to get the Sonos system, but they were not available. I was able to get the entire Sonos system from a small retailer close to my home. It sounds GREAT!!!!!!!!

Having an issue with sound only coming out of the left side of the Soundbar when in AMBEO mode. To clarify, when someone is speaking it only comes out of the left side of the bar. When you turn AMBEO off, it comes out of both sides of the bar. Trying to find out how to contact support is impossible, after calling, chatting and emailing for 2 days, I’m no closer to finding support, so I’m returning it. Now for the pros: sounds really, really good when it’s working but if it breaks, I guess you just eat it.

This is a piece of junk. The soundbar is connected via eArc where the tv should control it - worked fine for 4 months, doesn’t work now. The tv also stopped playing volume through it. Check the forums - many users are experiencing the same issue. Stay clear - the customer service for Sennheiser is also non existent. Buy a brand that has support and tons of users aren’t experiencing a sound bar that has no sound and no service.

The Ambeo soundbar is a big heavy looking speaker. However, the upward firing speakers didn't perform as advertised, but the speaker did get loud simply because of its bulk. Also, the Ambeo sub only would connect with Apple tv. The sub was virtually silent with only a slight murmur. And Sennheiser customer service is a joke. We subsequently bought a Sonos arc and sub and are way happier

As much as I want to love this soundbar, so far I cannot rate the soundbar more than 1 star. I cannot for the life of me get the soundbar to calibrate. Uncalibrated, it sounds just like stereo speakers. I am talking to Sennheiser customer support who are sending me a new calibration mic to see if that fixes the issue and will update with a proper review then.

IT WORKED GREAT UNTIL IT DIDN'T. HAVING TROUBLE GETTING IT REPAIRED. It worked great for three months and then started shutting down. After going back and forth with emails for a month Sennheiser finally sent me shipping info to return which I did five weeks ago. I can't get any reply from Sennheiser other acknowledgement that they did receive it five weeks ago.

Buyer Beware - No Product Support The product itself is a quality product...but...without any product support by "SENNHEISER" the manufacturer, it turns this product into a worthless product. Contacting SENNHEISER regarding tech support on hardware/firmware issues is impossible.

I never would have purchased this item had I known that BB wouldn't be able to get the REL subwoofer to work with it. I would say something to BB but even though I'm a Total Tech Member I would be charged for BB to come out. Totally wrong!

Horrible product, wireless connections don't work, the subwoofer that goes with product doesn't connect either, not directly or wirelessly. For the cost of this product it is shocking that their programming so awful. Save yourself hours of aggravation and huge cost buy a Bose instead

Very buggy. Stopped working after one month. I tried to reset it multiple times, recalibrate, and unplugging the power but still wasn’t working.

This was a replacement for a defective unit. This unit was defective as well. A return has been initiated. I'm replacing the system with Sonos.

The sound quality of the sound bar downgraded terribly less than a year after I bought it in December 2019. The voices are inaudible when Ambeo is turned on, and this is a known hardware defect. Sennheiser does not handle this product anymore, Sunnova does, and the support is terrible. The $2500 unit just sits on the wall, unusable. After I bought it, we dealt with Covid, I've had two kids and a bout with cancer, so I am just now trying to get something resolved. There's no other way to contact support than through email, and they ignore their emails -- never reply back. It was a great unit when it worked, but due to known hardware defects and lack of support -- it gets one star. Unacceptable for the second most expensive soundbar on the market.

I want to love it and truly did when it worked properly. Mine was barely used in our extra room and it would overheat, freeze up and needed a hard reset. The center channel one day stopped amplifying the tweeter (which I'd determined was on the amp/pre-amp side as the tweeter tested fine after disassembly). I honestly decided to give it away to someone else to use as parts as it's not worth the trouble and cost to repair something of such lousy quality/reliability. If I'd abused it that would at least make sense, but my unit was babied and barely turned on. I don't recommend it whatsoever. (I probably only ever watched 5 movies on it while it worked! I'd only expect such poor quality from a $100 soundbar from Wal-Mart, not a $2,500 Sennheiser.)

This is a powerful speaker but it cut out on and off. It just goes mute for few seconds every 5minutes or so. I told my husband to return it but because it is a very heavy speaker, it's hard to return. We bought this at $2499 and added 4years geek squad coverage, spending over $2800 in total.

Absolutely horrible quality control when it works its fantastic sound quality but this is my 3rd bar and it keeps failing the hdmi board the calibration mic so many of these have major mechanical issues DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Garbage, please don’t waste your time or money! Software/computer chip is terrible. Sound bar worked maybe 40-50 times maybe 100hours on it. All of a sudden the audio only plays out of aftermarket subwoofer channel… Red light out of the back right side of the soundbar indicating something is wrong. Cannot get a hold of customer service to save your life. Awful. Bad business.
