They have good sound clarity but not much volume and are too big

Pros • Excellent Sound Quality: These earbuds deliver rich, detailed audio with great clarity across lows, mids, and highs. Bass feels deep but controlled, and vocals are clean and present. • Extensive Sound Customization: The companion app offers powerful EQ tools and presets, letting you tweak the sound exactly to your taste. • Fantastic App Experience: The app is intuitive, responsive, and makes it easy to manage firmware updates, sound profiles, and device settings. Cons • Poor Fit & Comfort Issues: The earbuds are on the heavier side, making them prone to shifting or falling out during extended wear. • Frustrating Touch Controls: The touch interface is overly sensitive and unreliable, making it difficult to adjust volume or skip tracks without accidentally pausing or triggering the wrong command. • Connectivity Problems: They frequently drop connection, especially when paired to multiple devices. In some cases, they stop working entirely until you perform a reset. • Multiple Device Pairing Quirks: Switching between devices isn’t seamless and often requires extra troubleshooting. • Battery Life Below Claims: Real-world usage doesn’t match the advertised battery life, especially with ANC enabled — you’ll likely need to charge more often than expected. Bottom Line The Momentum 4 earbuds sound incredible and have one of the best apps in the industry, but their comfort, control scheme, and reliability issues hold them back. If sound quality and customization are your top priorities, they might still be worth it — but for the price, the frequent disconnects and usability frustrations are hard to ignore.

Could just be a problem with my unit, but I doubt it. ANC is the worst I've had in any headphone, ever (even back from when the tech was relatively new). The noise cancellation itself works halfway decently, even if it doesn't come close to Bose or Sony. However, simply touching your earbuds to adjust the fit in your ears causes your music to cut out and sound glitchy as the vibrations from your fingers interact with the ANC. It goes away when you stop adjusting the earbuds, but with how often I adjust these, it is actively ruining my listening experience. I've just turned off the ANC on mine to avoid this audio disruption, since you really don't need it in about 80% of situations, but that's a big feature of these earbuds that just doesn't work. If ANC is a must-have feature for you then avoid these like the plague. Strangely, the CX Plus True Wireless from Sennheiser perform much better than these as far as noice cancelling and controls go, and they're less than half of the price most of the time. The Momentum 4s have a slightly better sound quality, but not good enough to justify the broken ANC and being over double the price. I think I'm going to be avoiding Sennheiser in the future, because I was also extremely underwhelmed by the over-ear Momentum 4s. Shame, they were my go-to brand for audio for years, but they've begun cutting corners and putting out subpar products. These would be a hard sell even at $100, at least to me.

I have been loyal to sennheiser since the MTW1, and was so enthralled by MTW2 that I stayed with it when the 3 came out. Unfortunately, the 2 is no longer available and the 4 seemed the only reasonable choice. While the sound is complex and satisfying, and the noise cancelling is quite good for riding the subway, I have had nonstop connection issues and finally battery issues with these headphones. Just eight months into use, they will not hold a charge or connect as desired. Big disappointment.

I mean its Sennheiser sound quality. Never disappointed me in that regard. It has a lot of issues for me. The most important one is noise cancelling. It says its active nc but I highly doubt it. In an office environment, when these are on, even while I am playing some binaural beats, I can hear even the chair squeaks of my colleagues when they just move about. I can hear everything they are saying. When I turn off the noise cancelling, it channels more noise in which is fine but there is no just off button. The reason I even looked for "normal" state is because when you turn on the noise cancelling, you get to hear this faint hissing sound that is base-e. I guess thats all the noise cancelling it does. That base heavy hissing sound cancels out the noise from things like if you have a fan near by or you are in an airplane but you still hear everything else. The second issue is the connection. I never experienced it to just connect and start playing. I always have to give it like 20 seconds for it to settle down after connecting to a device whether a laptop or my cellphone. After connecting, the sound randomly cuts off in one ear, then it comes back and then the other ear is off and so on until it settles. Then it is fine. The comfort is another issue for me. Yes it does give you lots of options to customize it but in some configurations you loose the base when you gain comfort. That's not much of an improvement is it? I have to sacrifice sound quality for comfort? At this price point? As I am typing this review, I hear every key click from my keyboard. How is this a noise cancelling headphone? Wow my friend just walked by my desk and I heard the smacking noise from his flip flops and I am playing binaural beats with heavy base right now.

I would have given it five stars if the left earbud was still work one day it just stopped producing sound the button still work when I touch them to stop or play or rewind music but no sound and everything I've tried has not make it work so I have to send it in but other than that the sound quality is great and the battery lasts about 4 hours of continuous play.

These were almost perfect. The sound was great, and the overall fit was pretty decent. There's just something about these that just.. lacked. Pretty heavy ear fatigue after about an hour or so. Call quality was eh, and they cut in and out a lot according to the folks I talked to. I dont think theyre worth the price tag, and they have a lot of bugs to get worked out. Maybe one day itll be a hit, but for now ill save my money.

Have had the TW3s prior to these, which were a massive flop - constant glitches, charging issues, connection issues, etc. Well, why don't I spend $300 on another set? 4 months later they've bricked themselves. I did a firmware update, which went fine! An hour later they disconnected from my iPhone, PC, and Mac to never connect again. Side touch controls aren't working, the factory reset procedure isn't working, but I guess they work fine aside from them not being able to connect.. While they are working they're awesome, for a set of wireless headphones with ANC sound quality is nice and crisp, bass is a bit weak on an airplane but still considerably better than a set of Airpods or something around there.

So I just got mine today and I am very disappointed. Out the box I am encountering a ton of issues. So the left earbud squeaks everytime I insert them into my ear. Likewise, when I remove the left earbud from my ear it cycles power to both earbuds and causes them to lose connection with Bluetooth and then have to reconnect from my phone. Its a huge let down because senheiser normally release well built prducts but my pair just doesnt work. As for sound quality I do like it. I am not sure if it a huge upgrade from the TW3s but it overall is enjoyable. Oh and before i forget i think there is a bit of an imbalance with anc and it seems stronger in the right bud. Needs work or additional firmware updates going to have to return these.

Really good headphones but the warranty is only 12 months and the left one stopped working after using them for 14 months.

Sound quality is okay, in my opinion, not 300 dollar quality. They're comfortable, but features wise, they're some of the worst earbuds. You can use one at a time, but it doesn't provide mono audio. Phone calls are terrible. The app is not the greatest. When it comes to ANC and transparency, the experience is just okay. These are decent earbuds. But not 300 dollars worth.

They are okay, good sound, good battery life. My issues are 1 that the case shows it never charges past 60% and 2 the the app says they are momentums 3. I am not sure if this is a firmware issue or someone pack them wrong. I contacted sennheiser last week with no response so far. Clarification of this matter will change my rating

Sound good and work great when they work. Get the warranty. I only wear these at work and I’ve gone through the original ones and now a 2nd left earbud. I’ve had $40 earbuds last longer. I was so hopeful having over ear wireless headphones and high quality wired headphones from Sennheiser before this. $299 not well spent.

I'd suggest really checking out these earbuds before you buy them. If you lose one, you can't replace it – I found that out the hard way and had to buy a whole new set from the company. Plus, I kept losing connection when I used them. They're definitely not worth the price, so don't bother.

Product is not better than the other ones at this price point. Music sound stage is wide but everything sounds muffled down to when you’re speaking in the phone. ANC 7/10.

I had high hopes for them. They underdelivered. I should have listened to the reviews online. The active noise cancelation is lacking. Not suitble for the gym. I could hear everything...

Had a set of Momentum 2 that were a little ugly but great sounding, figured I'd update to the 4. Once tuned sound is great, but earbuds didn't seal well, makes getting that great sound a little tricky. Right earbud developed charging issues within 2 months, died shortly after.
