I purchased this headset expecting it to be good considering it wasn't cheap. The device is fully charged and keeps automatically shutting off. I'm still waiting for my 50.00 reward to be returned to my account.

I usually do not start reviews like this, but don’t buy this. It is horrible. This system had (has) so much potential, but extremely disappointed. It all started with installation, which was a total nightmare. I watched the video and read the quick start instructions. Seemed so simple. Problem is unlike what everything said, the headphones and transmitter were not paired out of the box. The transmitter had a blue light (finally) and the headphones were fine. Both were connected to my iPhone in the app, but nothing from the headphones. I finally figured out using the app that the transmitter and headphones were NOT paired out of the box. I tried everything to manually pair them and nothing. Finally reset both to factory settings and behold they were paired automatically just like they were supposed to be to begin with. Only problem now was starting over from scratch. Setup spanned over 5 hours over two nights. Now that they were connected to each other, it was time to connect the transmitter. I have a fairly new TV with both optical and HDMI (arc) connections. The optical was unused, so that was my first attempt. No blue light on the transmitter or it only flashed blue. It needs to be solid blue to indicate it is receiving audio from the TV. After a few more hours of playing with the audio settings on the TV (which had worked fine with my soundbar via the HDMI cable since we bought the TV), success. The TV has multiple audio output formats which have always been on automatic. The Sennheiser transmitter didn’t like automatic or any other setting except for PCM. I had to force the TV to only use PCM output and adjust several other settings. Finally, a solid blue light and they actually worked for the night. Next night, no sound. Had to go into the TV settings and got a blue light. I didn’t change anything. Just went to the settings. Did this for a few nights until I decided I wasn’t doing that every night. Next choice was to use the HDMI audio that the soundbar has and still uses just fine. Absolutely not working with the transmitter. Only spent about an hour trying this as was pretty much of the opinion that this whole Sennheiser product was never going to work and a waste of time. One last attempt was to hook it up to the TV via the 3 mm headphone jack. Did not work. Plugged in a wired pair of headphones and the jack was fine. The issue was something in the transmitter. Finally gave up and waiting to recycle this next electronics pickup. For the few hours I was able to use them, the sound was descent and totally satisfied with them. While the concept behind the Sennheiser TV Headphones is a good one, the execution leaves much to be desired. I would not recommend that anyone buy these. There are much better alternatives out there.
