Q: Hi, can other people still hear the TV

A: Using digital optical cable -- The digital optical out on the TV goes into the digital optical in on trasmitter Sennheiser 5200. Now, you control own volume with headset; but, TV volume can still be controlled up and down. In other words, turn the TV volume to zero, and use the headset to hear. No one else hears TV. Hope this helps.
