My daughter has an 85 pound part coon, part Lab dog with white fur which sheds horribly. The pet hair drives us all crazy. She's tried other so-called high end vacuums that just didn't cut it. Bought her this Shark bagless model as a gift after researching dozens of vacuum reviews including much higher priced models like Dyson's for pet hair. This vacuum received the best pet hair removal reviews. The first time she used it on carpet she was amazed at how much dirt and pet hair it sucked up and realized her other vacuums had been leaving a lot behind. Not only is this vacuum terrific for pet hair the bagless canister is large compared to most models and goes longer between emptying. It's also very easy to empty and reattach. I visited her a few days ago and tried it out for myself. It truly is great. It has very strong suction without being so powerful that it pulls carpet yarns loose in wall to wall carpeting as I've read some vacuums will do. My only negative comment is that it isn't designed to slide all the way under beds as the dirt collection canister keeps that from happening. However, moving the bed a little or using a dust mop on hardwood floors is the work-around. The attached self-storing hose has plenty of suction power as well. This is not only a great vacuum it's fairly economical too at a mid-range price point. Not having to buy sweeper bags saves money over the long run as well. This vacuum had a hill to climb to begin with coz it replaced my Oreck of 20 some years. I loved the light weight and maneuverability of the Oreck but hated to empty and replace the bags. So many people had spoken highly of the Shark and Dyson, but Dyson was out of my budget range. The reviews for the Shark were favorable as well. I wish the cord was longer but that is the only recommendation I have to improve the Shark. The ease of emptying the dust cup is wonderful! The maneuverability is comparable to Oreck. I am a happy Shark user.

I absolutely LOVE this vacuum. It has adjustable suction, which is nice if you are an owner of Smartstrand carpet. The suction is not only adjustable for the floor vacuum, but for the extendable arm as well. Previously, I owned a Shark Lift-Away Pro, and I thought that vacuum did a decent job, but the Navigator DLX is a far better product. I think the liftaway function took a lot of the power away from the vacuum. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR THOSE WHO HAVE PETS! This vacuum picks up a lot more than my liftaway did, and it popped my carpet fibers right up that had been matting down.

I love this vacuum. It has great suction. My only problem it I wish it had a light to see what you are vacuuming. I thought it did. But love it anyway. Great for my apartment because it doesn't take up much room.

This vacuum is easy to maneuver. It has multiple attachments which fit right onto the vacuum. It has a very strong suction and picks up well on floors and carpet.

Love this vacuum. Suction power is awesome; made my carpet look new after just 1 use. Swivel head makes getting in hard to reach places easy. It is a little heavy BUT is such a great vacuum, I won't count that against it :) This vacuum was recommended to me and I will also recommend to anyone looking for a great vacuum with not a huge price tag

Shark vacuum is a great product and great price. Would highly recommend.

Picks up everything. Maintains suction. Really cleans carpets. I think it's better on carpets then hardwood floors. Tried it on my wood floor and it seemed to miss some things.

I love this thing! I was an old school kind of girl with my broom,dust pan, and duster but after finding out I was now allergic to dogs (by the way I own 1) I had to do more. I had been pressured for years to get one but now my health was requiring it. So I did my research and pricing and found this! Now, I don't know how I managed without it! Plus I love the no bag and washable filter.

It sucks up all the dog fur and everything else. light enough to maneuver around the furniture and carry up the stairs since the hose is not long enough.
