This is my 3rd Sharp microwave over the last 35+years. The first two functioned so well and so long that it was an easy decision to purchase again. I believe this new one may be defective since the door opener latch consistently catches and does not open smoothly. Will need to take back.

first one dented in back... sprung the door. 2nd one dented in the front. Super long wait to pick up at store.... store is not well organized... get it shipped maybe it wont be dented. I put up with 2nd dent cause I don't want to wait on a third unit.... but I'm not happy with best buy!

I bought this particular model because it touted a melt/soften function, which I use frequently; however, it does not differentiate between melt and soften. And, I have to closely watch the melting. Not really useful to soften anything. I'm now learning to use at 30% power and watch the timing in order to soften.

This has a smaller interior than other microwaves of the same size... You could fit a dinner plate in it no problem but nothing bigger.
